About Chimeras: Cherished Serpent Collector's Edition

Elephant Games brings you Chimeras: Cherished Serpent – an exciting new entry in the Chimeras series!

Eleven mysterious deaths have plagued Serpent Hill in one month, so it’s no wonder the citizens live in constant fear. In every case, the only witnesses are the victims themselves, so the new sheriff, Amber, has no leads. What’s more, people can’t shake the sense that someone is always watching them. Now it’s up to you to dig into the case and see what turns up. What a way to start a vacation! Can you help Amber finish what her dearly-departed brother started and find out what’s really going on in Serpent Hill? You’ll need your puzzle-solving skills and a sharp mind to find the truth in this hair-raising Hidden-Object Puzzle Adventure!

This is a special Collector's Edition release full of exclusive extras you won't find in the standard version. The Collector's Edition includes:

• Investigate an engrossing new mystery of mythological proportions in the bonus game!
• Earn a variety of unique achievements!
• Tons of collectibles, puzzle pieces, and morphing objects to find!
• Enjoy replayable HOPs and mini-games, jigsaw puzzles, secret room, exclusive wallpapers, soundtrack, and concept art!
• Never get lost with the strategy guide!

This is a Hidden Object Puzzle Adventure game, meaning a specific genre of story-driven, point & click adventures. Throughout the game, players are tasked to find a list of objects hidden within a particular scene, and to occasionally complete various mini-games/puzzles.

This is the first game I've played in the series. I don't know if it is the beginning, middle or the ending, but what I can say for sure is that not a single HOPA game I've played so far tackles with the basilik. An ancient creature; this being is said to be half rooster, half dragon. Just like a manticore; it is made of different body parts belonging to two up to four animals. Here, in this game, you must defeat two basiliks. As a cryptozoologist, you must put your knowledge at work in order to save the people of Serpent Hill. PROS: - Beautiful scenery; - Chilling music; - Three set of collectibles; - Main Game + Bonus Chapter + Secret Room (I've found this feature in the Haunted Hotel series); - Fast-traveling map; - Diverse HO games; - Intriguing mini-games (personally, I haven't seen these type of mini-games until now); - In-game achievements. NEUTRE: - I would have loved some plot twists; - I was constantly thinking that maybe this new sheriff might be one of them. CONS: - No journal entries; - No trading cards. Overall, a good game to play with your family. Get it while on discount.

You are playing as the sister of the prior games’ protagonist. She has sent you tickets she had received for a place called Serpent Hill. Seems like it will be a fun trip. Or at least it did, until someone dropped dead right in front of you as you entered town… HO scenes are challenging, minigames fun, and the plot is decent. Get in the bundle if you can.

At 3 hours, this is the bare minimum play time I can accept and that's at a deep discount only. The game itself is good, Nothing spectacular. Not as creepy as it thinks it is. Good layout and interface. The story was interesting until it ended abruptly. The artwork was about average. I've played a few from this series and enjoyed them.

Not my favorite in the list of Chimeras HOG I've played so far. The storyline was weak and I finished this one quite fast. Majority of the HOG were find pairs or other versions which wasn't my preference but could be yours!
