Chromatic Isle

Neat little puzzle game. It’s pretty simple and very short, so you’ll probably get through it before you know it, but I had some fun figuring out the puzzles along the way. Nothing huge here, but it’s free and worth checking out if you want something quick to play.

Chromatic Isle is a short puzzle game that has some good ambiance. I think the puzzles were simple and suited the casual environment of the game. I did the Spring puzzle first and was a bit confused when I completed it; it took me a minute to realize that I was finished and I needed to go back. I think there needs to be a bit more of an indicator when a puzzle is done: the music plays all around, flowers/rain/leaves/snow fall from the sky, etc. I am not sure if this was a bug or a preexisting issue, but my achievements didn't trigger until after I closed the game. Seeing that there are 7 achievements, I was going a bit out of my mind for a moment, looking around for secrets and a part of the map I hadn't noticed. I think that overall this game is a pleasant experience—it was certainly a calming complement to my morning. If you enjoy walking simulators, casual puzzles, and ambient music, this is a good one to try.

Neat little puzzle game that plays with sound and visual clues. Walking is a bit slow and it would be nice if we could teleport back to the middle after finishing a level and not need to walk back. It's rather on the easy side, only the winter level offered somewhat of a challenge.
