IMPORTANT: This game is ACTUALLY different!
Get ready to re-learn how to fight. This game features a unique combat system with a mix of survivors abilities, combat tricks, agile dashing and active abilities. It'll take time to master! Don't worry, survivors exist to perish. You control your character fully, at all times, based on complex inputs - you will never sit there while an animation plays.
This game's combat will take practice: at first you will find it hard to survive even a minute. To win and master combat you will have to slow down and pay attention, pressing random buttons in a panic will only send your survivor to an even earlier grave. You will learn how to move, how to use momentum to hit HARD, you will make up your own moves and fight in your own style.

An unforgiving, difficult Roguelite experience.
Chronicle Survivors is an Unreal Engine powered gorgeous action roguelike game with short (5-15 minutes), hardcore and meaningful objectives, thoughtful progression, variety of levels, loads of unique mechanic enemies and, of course, grindy epic loot with a continuous development path.
Take control of a survivor with a single life, that you lead to defeat the domain menace!

Each run is totally unique!
There are many roads to becoming victor. The arenas and enemies are ever changing, no two runs are the same!

Strategise your way to victory - combat skills alone are not enough!
Deal with random events, collect powerful loot, unlock new abilities, and unearth hidden secrets as you progress through the game. Your decisions matter, and every choice could mean the difference between survival and succumbing to the ever-present peril.

Honestly at the moment I can't really say I'd enjoy the game as is. As someone who plays a lot of roguelikes, it might just be that I'm spoiled, but being forced to play on keyboard is extremely awkward, especially with the control setup as it is at the time I'm writing this review. The game itself is insanely loud but there is no volume control in-game so you have to go into your computer's sound settings to turn down the volume of the game itself, which kind of ruins the experience even more. When you open the settings menu, you can tell the emphasis was put more on the visuals than anything else. The opening menu is ruined by the choice in font (white Roboto font with a black outline) which is as plain as can be. It is a shame because everything else I saw and heard when I first opened the game definitely left an interesting first impression on me. However, I will admit this is most likely just a nitpick on my part. It's just extremely jarring to have this insanely detailed background and then flat white text being the first thing you see. As for gameplay, yeah, the game does hit those basic checkmarks and is definitely something worth considering in the future. However, there…8 found this helpful
At the moment there is little playable. In general, it is not clear how coins are accrued on global progression, I thought that when a character dies coins are simply not accrued, but gave 15 when I lost. At the same time for the passed map accrued only 2, although it was collected 60 +. The same enemy runs at different speeds, dead enemies do damage until they disappear, in general is not clear. You can not change the control, it is not convenient to press run on WASD and press Q and E. In general, at the moment its money is not worth it, let's hope that patches will fix the controversial issues and give finally the control under themselves to reassign.7 found this helpful
In current build collecting coins doesnt work. I am pretty sure low frames happen to me becease its in unreal engine once Litch lookalike it jump between 10-20 maybe lower. I lowered everything but screen scaling at 70%. i got GTX 1070 8gb. (more enemies , more projectiles , more processes , more load to the engine or your PC). The dodge dash - enemies will damage if you go through or near them. Some special abilities specific to character doesnt work. I would say this is early access or beta.5 found this helpful

An excellent roguelike RPG that is fairly hardcore, bomb rushers won't let you relax once you get to 5+ minutes into the game! This isn't a typical survivors title where you defeat 100 enemies every second, but rather a game that pressures you into skillfully avoiding enemies while defeating them to control population, especially once you get to warlocks, that summon additional enemies. Progression system is okay for early access and overall the game hits all the basics, graphics are great too. Might be a bit too difficult for inexperienced RPG players though, but DOTA folks should be able to test their limits and feel right at home :)2 found this helpful
Don't buy, it's abandoned.
