Mmm.. That is a very good score-chasing minimalist city-building with a combo mechanic and interesting tiles that keep your playthroughs fresh and ever-changing. You have two gamemodes, classic, with a limited number of moves, and advanced, with more freedom to build, change and rebuild that can go infinitely if you are tactical and methodical. Yes it is a relaxing experience, since there is no timer or time constraint, it is turn-based, but I wouldn't call the game a relaxing city-builder because, imo, it is way better described and enjoyed as puzzle, arcade and score chasing, because that is really what the game is about. Make combos, think strategicaly and get to the top of the leaderboards before you screw yourself and reach the end of the game. Really interesting to see how a game is described on the store page, which angle is used to sell it, and how it feels to be played once you try it for yourself. You can easily change the description and try to reach an other audience with the exact same product by phrasing differently. It says "no lose state, just chill and build" and while it isn't wrong, it could also be described as "make impactful decisions, build carefuly and a…

Nice and relaxing puzzle game. In basic mode you just place tiles and try to place as many as you can while the map is devoured by spikes. However in advanced mode fight against hungrier spikes! Instead of just eating empty tiles they also eat your buildings unless you upgrade them. Now here's where the real fun is, you can upgrade buildings by placing them next to each other in specific ways, which spawns more buildings... If you plan it right you could have a building that places a building that upgrades a building that places a building that upgrades a building, and that is so awesome because it fills up so much of the map instantly.

City Limits is a cute puzzle game with a pretty simple gameplay mechanic that has a decent amount of depth. Learning how to best use the building combos to maximize your score is pretty fun. I haven't played a whole bunch and tbh i'm probably not clever enough to really rake in the points, but playing it has been an enjoyable relaxing time.

This is a strategy game that involves combining different tiles in ways that make combinations. It has simple but charming pixel graphics and a gameplay that starts pretty simple but soon becomes challenging. My only feedback is that I found the tutorial to be a little unclear (the game lacks text, and uses icons and arrows to explain things) so I found myself doing a bit of trial and error in my first game. Because moves are not timed I could see this being a game you could play while also listening to a podcast or watching youtube.

A different experience. Very relaxing and, if you use the mode without spikes, it can be a very long game. Haven't you discovered what the little yellow cubes are for yet? I assure you that this is very addictive.
