Great game from the past (1993). Overall (in my opinion) its a sandbox game. You play as the commander, pick out your crew, crews weapons, ship, and ships weapons. Roam the galaxy, salvage enemy vessels, and claim the planets. Then dock with space stations, maybe buy a new ship, sell your goods, buy ammo and get repairs. The graphics are from 1993 so don't expect it to be awe-shocking. -BTW- to claim a world you will need to dispatch Engineers to each corner of the planet map to successfully build an isolation grid. Cons -The game isnt as smooth as in the videos provided here on steam, I know you can adjust it via dos box settings but not everyone knows how or where. Be nice if it was already set up to be as smooth as in the videos. Otherwise its still playable. (Ctrl+F12 will speed up DosBox, and Ctrl+F11 will slow it down)9 found this helpful
As mentioned by others, it's unplayable in it's current form. Such a bummer - I've been begging GOG to get this up for years as I owned the original floppy disks back in the 90s. It ran better on my Tandy Sensation than it does now on this DoxBox config. Really could use some TLC as it's got a lot of nostalgia for some of us and it was way ahead of its time in many ways! Guess I'll keep waiting!3 found this helpful
