Lead a squad of nine specialized commandos through authentic WWII locations, using stealth, teamwork, and environmental interaction to complete dangerous covert missions. The fully 3D engine lets you rotate the environment freely, control multiple units simultaneously, and interact dynamically with everything from uniforms and vehicles to submarines and buildings.

fun concept. good graphics for the time. but human interface is, annoying to say the least. every item has its own hotkey making it hard to switch weapons intuitively. no way to re assign key binds either. good luck!2 found this helpful
Commandos 2 is a sequel to the beloved real-time tactics game, bringing back your favorite soldiers and a couple of new faces to move through new 3D maps and jankily complete objectives while consistently crashing. The 3D engine used by Pyro Studios is noticeably bad and sluggish, portraying your soldiers as slow-moving blobs. The game has a terrible user interface, requiring an enormous amount of time to get used to the hotkeys and weird layouts, with some actions hidden behind the right mouse button and others tied to Shift, while not allowing the player to change keys during gameplay. Furthermore, a bizarre situation occurs where one action replaces another in the UI if you recently used it, such as stun with “q” and gun with “g,” or lockpick with “s” and stealing with “d.” Additionally, the hotkey for field of vision does not work if the minimap is open. Little things that, accumulated, make a precision-based tactical game frustrating to play, demonstrating a downgrade from its predecessor, which had a very concise and fast UI. The graphics here have improved over the first one. COMMANDOS 2, BE A MAN OF COURAGE or be a bum
