TL:DR: Fun Precision Platformer with some major flaws. Buy atm only if you really enjoy platforming. Has the tag Family Friendly, yet its not a walk in the park platformer. Just adding signs for the way would change this review to positive. +Responsive movement with a very creative and (for me) novel way of moving, the broom. Flying through the air, jumping from one wall to another is fun and very satisfying. + Sweet artstyle + no performance issues +/- the game is short, and so is the story +/- the broom fly button is B while the jump button is A. There is no double jump. Why not put both on A? Could make for worse gameplay and as i dont know its not a -, yet mby it could be an easy improvement to the gameplay flow. +/- at least emotionally i wasnt able to finish the game because the last cutscene triggered without me touching the ground and then because of that I fell down and wouldve had to redo a part, but well, cutscene, end. - no tutorial messages how mechanics work make a few things which could be understood in a few seconds take way too long - Level design is majorly flawed at a few points - for one the game is way too short - difficulty goes from 0 to 100, wh…

I didn't think i could finish the game, but i did manage to figure out all main game screens in the end. Definitely would have looked at a clear video for a few screens if i had found one. But kinda happy that i didn't. This felt like an accomplishment, even if just two hours long (and not getting collectibles).

This game is very challenging. It can be fun at some points but it can be very difficult once your out of the sewers. I had to put the game down after awhile and might come back to it on a later date. I really like the music but man this is not a walk in a park platformer.

Oh boy, what a charming game. First you get hit by the cute looks, then you get hit by the challenge. Cursed Broom is not easy, but it keeps its main mechanics interesting. Granted, it is very short, like 2 to 3 hours short and that is my main problem with the game. The ending feels like the ending of the prologue. I would have loved to see where the unique movement of this game could have been taken. But like this I just want more, more of the movement, more of the music and more of the art style. Still, to me it was worth playing, great little expirience.

Very cute platformer with super fun mechanics. Plays well on Steam Deck or on PC with Controller :)

I had a lot of fun playing Cursed Broom! The game got a super cute pixel art style and a fun story. The broom mechanic is tricky at first, but once you get the hang of it, it feels amazing! The controls are smooth, and the platforming challenges are just the right kind of hard, so beating each section feels very rewarding! The music and vibe are spot on and make the whole experience very pleasant. It’s a bit challenging in some areas (especially the hidden paths and collectibles), but if you like a platformer with charm and a little bit of magic, this one is a must-play. Highly recommend for anyone who loves a cute, tough game with lots of heart!
