Warning: Asset Flip! Damned Hand is an asset flip, or what Valve calls a "Fake Game". The "developer" paid for/pirated someone else's example/template/tutorial game, changed the name/reskinned a couple of things, and submitted it to Valve as if it was their own game.
Specifically the Russian developer has stolen the basic Unity "spooky hospital" asset and tried to make a jumpscare first person adventure with it. I've gone through about 5 different games using the exact same assets. The unabashed ripoff asset flipping here is simply a disgusting insult to gamers, no matter how "sincerely" the developer might be trying to turn someone else's work into their own game (with as little effort involved as possible). And there's no benefit of the doubt to be given here, because of a slew of other unethical, scamlike actions from this Russian asset flipper. Let's get into it. The game was abandoned roughly 2 months after launch and hasn't been updated in 3 years. It blew past the developers commitment to complete the game without any notification or admission of failure from the developer. The game …

OK...This game needs to be fixed. The Mode that works for me is the Zombie mode. I really wanted to play this game but how can I when I can't even exit the game. Fix this game before adding a new chapter to it.

I don't really know what is purpose of the game, stuterring, glitched, pointless chapters with unharmful jumpscares. Zombie mode you are invincible, can only die when pushed out of bounds.

Damned Hand is a small-scale first-person horror experience that leans heavily on atmosphere, confinement, and a sense of constant vulnerability. Developed and published by Applykat, the game places players inside a disturbing domestic space owned by a deranged art collector, turning what should be a familiar setting into a hostile maze of dark rooms, locked doors, and lurking danger. Rather than delivering a cinematic or narrative-heavy horror story, the game opts for a stripped-down approach that focuses on unease, exploration, and the fear of being hunted in a place where you never truly feel safe. From the moment the experience begins, Damned Hand establishes a claustrophobic tone. The house itself is the central character, filled with dim lighting, narrow corridors, and unsettling details that suggest violence and obsession without spelling everything out explicitly. The environment is designed to keep players tense, encouraging slow movement and cautious exploration as they search for keys and items needed to progress. The lack of clear guidance heightens the anxiety, as players are often unsure whether the next door will lead to safety, a dead end, or sudden danger. This re…

It's been over +6 months since my last review, and back then... The menu would never load, no matter how many times I tried and I could never get into the game. I tried giving it another chance today but the problem has gotten worse since now the game won't even open, it crashes on the slightest touch and it won't even load!
