Dark Descent

I played this game with a friend for a couple of rounds, and overall we had a good time. For the price, it's definitely worth checking out. The multiplayer works well, and the gameplay is fun. The game is heavily inspired by Lethal Company, but instead of collecting loot, your main objective is to find and extract items like a blue bottle or a battery while avoiding monsters. My biggest criticism is the progression. You have to complete the same map around 3–4 times before unlocking a new one. This makes the game feel repetitive quite quickly. The later maps are much more interesting and introduce new monsters and challenges, but they're also significantly harder. If your team dies, you have to start over from the beginning, which means replaying the same early maps again. I think the game would benefit from faster map progression or more variety early on. That would make the experience feel much less repetitive. Despite that, the core gameplay is enjoyable, especially with friends, and the price-to-content ratio is solid. If the progression gets improved in future updates, this could become a really great co-op horror game.
