About De-Void
A lost colony on a distant planet.
An outpost of humanity, haunted by memories of madness and conspiracy.
A station crew no longer responding to communications.
Concerned about the safety of their investment, Human Resources Specialist, Elizabeth Woolgather is dispatched by the ‘Corporation’ to Planet Ancyra to investigate and report back. But as she quickly discovers, sometimes knowledge can be a dangerous thing.
De-Void is a meditative first-person adventure game, where the player unravels the mysterious circumstances surrounding the disappearance of a remote space colony crew. Although the crew is missing, the station and its surroundings still echo with their thoughts and emotions. With the help of a protocol unit named Wilco, Elizabeth must interpret these memories and emotions and piece together the jigsaw. As the pieces come together, a confrontation with a presence both ancient and impossibly vast becomes inevitable and unavoidable.
On the surface, De-Void is a tale of humanity lost in the depths space, but beneath the surface lies a complex psychological story of conspiracy, betrayal, and madness.
There are no easy answers on Planet Ancyra!

De-void was a short and disappointing walking simulator adventure with potential that fell flat. Beautiful main character voice. Nice graphics with very detailed structures and ships. In chapter 1, I did not like that once you donned the helmet, everything went "foggy" with everything in textureless shades of gray and limited view distance. I could not find where to go. I wanted to reload last save except it only saved between chapters. So I lost 20 minutes and had to restart the game... twice as the same thing happened on second playthrough. Turns out there was an elevator switch I could not see. In chapter 2, unclear directions where to go. "Nearby, beyond the excavation site." I don't even know what the excavation site looked like and no map or sign either. I ended up wandering in a huge desert which didn't progress anything. There was nothing to do there beyond looking at derelict ships. Unable to save when I wanted aggravated the frustration because I didn't want to restart the chapter. The writing was good. I liked the logs, not so much the "entity" speaking that felt a bit obtuse and pretentious. Very lame ending, or lack thereof, that didn't really conclude or explain anyt…8 found this helpful
De-Void is a slow-burn, atmosphere-first sci‑fi adventure that leans hard on mood and environmental storytelling. You explore a deserted facility, piece together what happened from logs and clues, and let the sound design and lonely vistas do most of the heavy lifting. If you enjoy walking sims and narrative mysteries, there’s a quiet, meditative groove here The game has: - Strong sense of isolation and atmosphere - Solid ambient soundtrack and audio cues - Environmental storytelling that rewards curiosity - Short, self-contained story that doesn’t overstay its welcome1 found this helpful
De-Void

Positives:
+ Has got potential + Nice sounds and music + Some places look ok + Quite good voiceacting + Some mystery in the beginning + Fast run function (thank God!) + FOV-adjuster + Achievements
Negatives:
- 62 fps lock (fix below) - Subpar graphics and greyish "filter" (looks like something out of 2005) - Some mediocre and copy/paste level design - Story is uninspiring and the ending outright sucks - Large areas to walk and not a lot to find - No vehicles you can drive (could have been useful in the desert) - No quick saves (only a few checkpoints) - Quite short (over in about 2.5 hours)
Conclusion:
I really like walking simulators where you explore beautiful areas, while trying to figure out what is going on. So therefore I thought that De-Void would be my type of game. And it starts off quite good with some mystery along with the nice voiceacting and soundtrack. But unfortunately it partly fails in both graphics and storywise. The ending is just so utterly terrible, and the story up to it is underwhelming. Too bad really, I saw some real potential here and I still do. But it must be executed a lot better. So all in all i…
A cool, atmospheric game, you really feel like a detective on an abandoned planet! A bit creepy at times, but it’s fun to figure out what actually happened here.
You'll have to walk a lot and listen to this guy a lot, but you should finish as a completely different person ^^
I'm ready to forgive everything except this ********** ending! Guys, what the hell?! Everything was so cool. I like the story, I like the graphics (reminiscent of the 2000s), traveling through locations... Science fiction? Okay, cool. Space? Yeah, for sure, dude! But that ending... Okay, so as not to offend anyone, 6/10.
