Deadly Hunter VR is a simple first person defense game that puts me in the role of a hunter trying to clear out groups of orcs from different strongholds. The main idea is pretty straightforward. I have to learn what each enemy is vulnerable to, use the right traps and try to survive the attacks coming at me. Because it is made specifically for VR, I am actually moving my body to avoid axes and spears while trying to deal with enemies in front of me. I think that gives the basic defense gameplay a little more involvement than it would have with normal controls. The trap system is probably the part I enjoy the most. There are 10 different traps to unlock, including things like steel traps, venom swamps and archer towers, and the different orcs have their own weaknesses. That gives me a reason to pay attention instead of simply using the same attack against everything. There are also more than 100 possible trap upgrade combinations, so there is a decent amount of room to improve my setup.
