Deep Deep Deep Nightmare

Deep Deep Deep Nightmare is a Fast Paced Intense Bullet Hell Shooter, you play as a boy who gets stuck in a nightmare after getting warned by his mother to not eat any food at 12 AM. The game represents elevator system with floors, each guarded by multiple stages of enemy waves. You fight your way through those enemy hordes and end each stage with a boss fight in order to move to the next floor. There are spell upgrades / different styles of weapons which you can pick from to what matches your play style. There are also some cosmetic hats which you can change your character look with. The music and soundtracks were very nice, especially during boss fights where it gets more intense. The boss fights were fun as well as challenging at the same time. If you like bullet hell shooters, I would recommend give this a try, It won't disappoint. Overall Rating 10/10

Just by looking at it, you know it will be good, and it really is. The controls are precise, the combat is fluid and fun, the progression is satisfying and the music is not bad. On top of that, it has a bit of a roguelite feel to it, so you are working towards a goal, which helps and gives plenty of replay value. Deep Deep Deep Nightmare is a short but sweet experience. You can tell it’s a one-person project, but it has a ton of charm and the gameplay is really nice. It might look familiar at first glance because it is inspired by The Binding of Isaac and Brotato, but it doesn’t actually have anything to do with either of those games. This is not a roguelite. It is an arena shooter where you earn currency to unlock new guns, cosmetics and power-ups, and you have to go across a few floors fighting different bosses to reach the end with the final boss. There are a total of 13 bosses, and each one of them is pretty unique. It doesn’t have any real repetition. It is definitely bullet hell, but one of the nice things is that you earn currency even when you fail, so it’s just a matter of how good you are at the game in order to beat it. There are a couple of small issues though. I would have loved to have a way to disable the screen shake, and in the third level the bullets are the same color as the background, which makes it a little hard to see and dodge them.
