About Poppy's Nightmare
Poppy's Nightmare is a 2D side-scroller shoot'em up where a little girl fights her nightmares!
In Poppy, there is a progressive evolution of the things you can do throughout the game. You will travel marvelous worlds full of charming creatures who scare you that you are to fight. There are many of them! Spiders, dogs, dogs with planes, more spiders… but you, a girl who’s fighting her nightmares, have a much stronger desire to overcome. There are also a final challenge throughout the levels and scenarios that will set ready your skills, using all of your abilities, upgrades, and skills in order to advance and collect as many points as possible, which are features in the best form possible: Candy!

The game was developed by 2nd Year students at DigiPen Institute of Technology Europe - Bilbao, in an 8-month project as part of their academic curriculum. The game was made without the usage of a premade engine in C++.

It’s a short and cute shoot ’em up where the animation and overall design are definitely the main selling points. The gameplay is pretty basic—you move around and shoot baddies—but you can choose between three shot types. I mostly use the charged shot since it can go through objects. I did run into a bug where the game sometimes closes after beating a boss, and once I got stuck and had to manually quit, which was frustrating. Still, despite those issues, it’s a fun little time-waster and worth trying if you’re curious about a stylish shoot ’em up. 😄

I love this game, it's changed my life for the better. Ever since I discovered this game on the night of the 15th, I couldn't stop playing.
This game was really fun.I love how there are different weapons so u can pick your own.I also love the ult and how the stars work.The designs of creatures were so good!I loved the secret boss at the end.
