About Dice Defenders

Dice Defenders is a new take on the classic tower defense game genre. It uses dice mechanics from table top games to remove some of the standard battle of attrition and maximizing dps and instead provides a new type of challenge revolving around resource management and the players ability to manipulate the statistical probabilities at play.

4 types of towers - each with their own unique abilities, upgrade trees, and ultimate abilities
4 sizes for each type of tower - each with a unique attack zone (that can be upgraded) specific to that tower type and size combination
6 types of dice as found in a standard tabletop gaming dice set - used to modify towers and are used in combination with other dice based on the towers size

There are 5 maps to complete each with their own set of 20 waves.
Will you be the first to complete them all??

Interesting take on the action-dice game genre, though quite lacking in polish and variety. Has potential, but I am not sure I can recommend the current price (close, but not quite there). It lacks some basic quality of life features (like being able to disable the extremely repetitive music... I had to use the sound mixer in windows to stop myself going crazy), but mostly it just needs a bit more polish (in the UX area), and a bit more variety. My top recommendations: - Let users turn of music. - Add better descriptions for towers (they might exist, but I could not find them). - Add some UI flair like having roll numbers show above towers, colour coded by hit or miss. - It was really confusing that the dark blue colour is an indicator of the range extensions, particularly because they show on towers that have no range upgrades. At first I thought maybe it was splash damage or something. - Needs more than 4 tower types (I only played for an hour, so did not see all levels, but the second level did not unlock any new towers and I suspect there aren't others based on UI)... or perhaps a skill tree or something mix things up as you progress.

Great tower defense game. I love the combination with dice. You can play it more casually or you can focus on the numbers and really get into it. The tower attack shape is also quite cool. Finally something different than just a circle around the tower. :) Here is some gameplay: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ttLU-OlISvg
