"Dive to the Titanic" is an ancient game from 2010. It's a whopping 14 years old at the time of this review. The game lacks support for the typical features of modern gaming PCs, hasn't been modernised or updated to run smoothly on contemporary machines. The game looks and feels dated. Despite this lack of modernisation, it carries a pretty high price tag for such an old game. This seems to have be lingering on Steam with an inflated price to try profit from abandonware. This comes across as a game from 2000 rather than 2010. It requires you install Apple Quicktime (!!!!!!) before you can "play" this simplistic "simulator" (but really all you do is put in some simple moves and pretend you're in a submarine while looking at the Titanic). Which would be fine but this game is ancient, old and busted. The poor quality of this game is reflected by how many people spent time with it. At the time of this review, SteamDB shows the all-time peak player number was only 6 players. This is a remarkably low number, and now, the only player activity occurs once or twice a month, presumably someone loading it up to see what it is then quickly uninstalling it. I've been a huge lover of Titanic and its history for over 30 years now and I must say I really love this game. It's got a great atmosphere you do feel claustrophobic with having a small view hole and very little light. For it's time it would have been very accurate portray of the wreckage. I would had love a free roam mode where your not constraint by the timer and free to explore the Titanic wreck. Updated: so when you complete the main game you unlock a free roam mode which is great as you get to explore freely without the annoying Navigator telling you a little further. But overall I really liked this game the wreck isn't 100% accurate especially inside the titanic, it's seem to be modelled on the wreck from Ken Marshall 1986 painting, as there no boilers at the back of the bow section also such a missed opportunity no stern section. But considering there was no game in 2010 that let you explore the most famous shipwreck in the world, I think they did a good job, some of the textures are very similar a copied and pasted job, overall it looks the part and give you that experience of visiting RMS Titanic has I said I'm loving the game. Just giving anyone considering the game a heads up "WARNING" the game don't work so don't waste money on it. I'm only out a little over $0.99 I take the loss, and not even bothering with a refund I would rather call it a Christmas donation.
