About Divine Divinity

✦ AI summary

Play as the Chosen One uniting seven races to stop the Lord of Chaos in this 100+ hour epic RPG filled with massive exploration, hundreds of skills, and visceral hack-and-slash combat. Create your own character class freely from 96 skills, craft potions and poisons from discovered items, and pause combat anytime to strategize in this classless role-playing adventure.

Listed among the "Top 100 PC Games Of All Time" by PC GAMER (2012), Divine Divinity is an epic role-playing game with hack-and-slash action, offering a huge world to explore and thousands of items to investigate, trade and use.

The game chronicles the never-ending battle between valiant heroes and the destructive powers of Chaos harnessed by the Black Ring, a cult of enduring evil. You play the role of the prophesised Chosen One who under the guidance of the wizard Zandalor must unite the seven races of Rivellon so that you may become the Divine One and stop the birth of the Lord of Chaos.

This new re-mastered version offers support for Windows 7 and higher resolutions.

Key Features:

  • An RPG of Epic Proportions

Experience an adventure that will last you over 100 hours, filled with tons of non-linear quests and offering an enormous world to explore!
  • Classless Character Development

You decide what kind of character you want to be! Start out as a warrior, wizard or survivor – each with his own unique ability – then freely choose between 96skills, regardless of your class.
  • Hack & Slash with a Twist

Fight dozens of different enemy types and obliterate them in visceral, fast-paced combat. Things getting a bit hectic for you? Then pause the game at will, and take your time to look over the battlefield - or drink that much needed health potion.
  • Interaction Galore

Discover the enormous amount of objects that can be investigated, traded, used and combined. Found some empty flasks and picked up some colourful mushrooms? Create potions! Obtained some vile-smelling poison? Daub it on your blade or arrow tips: your foes won't know what hit 'em!
  • Award-winning Soundtrack

Enjoy the dulcet melodies composed by Kirill Pokrovsky, the two-time winner of IGN’s "Outstanding Achievement in Music” award.

1)BEWARE OF QUEST BUGS. 2)USE GLITCHES TO YOUR ADVANTAGE. Now, with that out of the way... This is pretty much Diablo meets Fallout (although it reminds me of Runescape, as well). You're in control of an unknown hero with a very important mission: save the world. Yeah, the usual. But there's a twist: you're pretty much a god. You just don't know it yet. You spend your time performing quests for the population, killing a bunch of hostiles, looting stuff and finding treasure. Again, the usual. Nothing fancy. But you are free to become a jack-of-all-trades (there are three skill-trees available). I started out as a mage (and I suggest you do the same or invest in the mage skill tree because there are lots of fun spells). My goal was to become a battle mage but I also joined the thieves' guild, later on and picked thousands of locks, for example. Your character is also capable of wielding any weapon and use any armour. You just need the correct attribute points. Roleplaying is nice but having the freedom to do whatever you want is even better. -The soundtrack is excellent. -The voice acting is so-so. Some VA's were good performers, others were unintentionally f…

This aged surprisingly well! Bumpy start with some finnicky balancing, but then the game opens up and you can clearly see that these are the same devs that went on to make Divinity Original Sin and Baldur's Gate 3. The sheer freedom, the character building with skills not being restricted to classes and a ton of systems to make your build feel unique, with charms, attributes, random loot. The Diablo-esque CRPG combat with the tactical pause, where you have to really ponder what to do next to avoid dying. There's dozens of unique and fun quests, there's charming and weird NPCs. Plot is simple but sort of endearing for it, it's very tongue in cheek while having some neat ideas in there too. The voice acting is goofy but weirdly fitting, even with some particularly bad offenders that just made for funny moments. There's definitely some bad too. The balancing is off, game goes from hard to really easy as you progress, especially if you build your character properly and do some side quests. The quests themselves, while fun, are often as unintuitive as it gets. You can tell they were already trying to go for a system where you actually have to think for yourself on how to progress and…
