Have your residents make products, then export them or sell them to tourists to make money. Send out away teams to explore and discover new territory or find new products that you can make.
▼Getting New Residents
You may find new residents when exploring caves or other planets. Just be sure to have a few extra houses available for them to live in.
▼Exploration
If you send a resident to an unexplored region or cave, you can get new territory. After building a Space Center, you can also explore other planets.

Simplistic 'colony builder' that has a battle system that feels similar to Ninja Village. It's alright for a few fun afternoons and an easy-ish ribbon. The limited 'range' system for houses and hotels is silly imo. That said, this is an earlier Kairosoft title so they were still figuring things out at this point. One of the more linear Kairo games, very simple except endgame content is pretty grindy. You'll need to leave the game running for a while AFK to farm money to finish the final achievement, but a great game in the Kairosoft library.3 found this helpful

Kairosoft’s "Final Frontier" that perfectly blends colony management with surprisingly fun RPG combat. Epic Astro Story is a fascinating entry in the Kairosoft library because it was one of the first times the studio successfully mashed their city-building formula with an active RPG battle system. You aren't just managing a cozy planet; you’re pioneering a literal frontier. The game does a fantastic job of making you feel like a space explorer—building up your colony, researching futuristic tech, and sending out away teams to uncover secrets in mysterious caves. It’s got all the charm of a classic Kairosoft title but with an added layer of "Space Race" excitement that keeps the pacing feeling much more adventurous than your average business sim. The combat system is where this game really shines and distinguishes itself. Unlike their purely economic sims, here you have to actually care about your residents' stats and equipment. Watching your tiny pixelated colonists line up to take on waves of space chickens or giant octopi is endlessly entertaining. It feels like a simplified precursor to Dungeon Village or Beastie Bay, striking a great balance where the battles are deep eno…
I actually enjoyed this Kairosoft game. That's a rare exception lol, it actually reminded me of pre Beastie Bay which is true since this was before Beastie Bay! It was fun to play and I'm glad they took everything good about it and pushed it into Beastie Bay with some good RPG mechanics... still is the same price on mobile, no optimization and slow gameplay but hey... its a Kairosoft game lol
