(Follow my curator for more reviews like this) I reviewed the first game here recently. I had some issues with it, but played the sequel right after - and it's a clear improvement in pretty much every way. It simply has more of everything and feels a lot more polished. The most obvious difference is that it's a little longer. The first game took me around 9 hours to finish. This took 13. The world is larger, there are a few optional areas and dungeons, lots of side quests, and a large city with plenty of content. If you liked the first game, you can stop reading here and just get the game: it's more of the same in a good way. The second most obvious difference is the graphics. Ancient single player game ported over to Steam. It has been out over 10 years, so look stuff up if you're interested. It's fun.

NOTE: The game is limited to 1024x768 resolution which is stretched when shown fullscreen on a widescreen monitor or is a very tiny window on a 1440p desktop. This game does introduce a few new innovations over the first game, such as combat stances, which is welcome for combat classes where combat is basically 'I hit, you hit, repeat', with little opportunity for tactics other than positioning. The ending is quite goofy and didn't really appeal to me however I could see they could write a similar ending with a small replacement and make it make sense. Just like the first game you are going to want to learn all the exploits to survive this game which is somewhat hard: - save/reload to disarm traps/open chests with 100% success rate - use the edge of maps to rest and recover mid-combat - save/reload to get good loot from chests - save/reload to pay to identify items before deciding whether to use or vendor them etc Note: it is pos…
