About Eternal Afternoon
IMPORTANT : Each run lasts 20 real-time minutes, but exploring the world, uncovering its secrets, and realizing what was possible all along can keep you discovering for much longer.
Eternal Afternoon is a poetic walking sim about wasting time before the end of the world. You play as Sasha, a 10-year-old boy wandering his neighborhood in the final minutes before a giant black wave swallows everything.
- Retro nostalgic visuals & authentic atmosphere – a suburban block in the summer of 2001, recreated with care.
- A chilling meditation on time, death, and the inevitable – experience the quiet dread of a world that ends in twenty minutes.
- Story through exploration – uncover small moments, side quests, and fragments of mystery woven into the neighborhood.
- Built with replayability and speedrun in mind – no save system, no upgrades; your only progress is knowledge of how the world works and how everything connects.

Players are divided on this game, with some praising it as a compelling, atmospheric experience with strong world-building and engaging exploration mechanics, while others object strongly to its Israeli setting, viewing it as propaganda rather than a genuine exploration of humanity. Common praise centers on the game's immersive atmosphere, story, and the satisfaction of collecting items, though some note minor control issues like unintended pet interactions. The primary complaint is political: players critical of the setting argue the developer made a deliberate choice to set the game in Israe
Meh. It does evoke nostalgy and you can uncover hidden pieces in the housing courtyard area just as you would as if you were a kid. But then, after finishing the game you realize that just discovering random easter eggs is really all you can do since the main plot is not evolving or uncovering anything more, and is finished in few minutes. The trailer looks as if there were some interesting progression and innovative mechanics to get to the heart of something but the main "plot" is done fast and then the game relies on you replaying it over and over again, just wandering a sandbox world for secrets, without any sense of accomplishment or reward This had such potential to be developed better but i guess the creator has reached their gamedesign/writing limit and it's just like a demo tape of something rhat could've been. Really hoping BLOK will go out soon, maybe that one will have a good story progression/mechanics along with the nostalgia that it delivers.2 found this helpful
this would be the only game that gave me a sense of ' this is it fellas as we look at each other for the last time' and we watch the end of the world approach us very slowly and in that moment you think about alot of things its best not to tell you what happens and you should not youtube it its best you play this game for the best experience in a dark room to and probably should treat it as a roll play game and pretend that you are actually going to die just to make it that much more good as it gives the girlfriend a excuse to treat you nice and ya know...' treat you nice'
Best game ever, 100% worth it. The game will take you to some dark, deep places, but in a good way. Buy it now!!!
