I like it! It feels very much like an old flash game. The controls are janky, the art is bare bones, and there's some obvious mistakes that could be fixed (Music restarting on death, locked momentum on jumps, zero frames of leeway, etc...), but it really has the charm of someone making their first real game they submit to newgrounds 20 years ago. I especially like how they clearly didn't use any premade assets (Except maybe the music? I don't know). Because like, Unity has a much "better" platformer engine built into the software they could've just taken, but the fact that they went out of their way to make their own is so much more endearing and makes it unique, even if it is simplistic! Overall well worth the 30 minutes it takes to beat it. Good job!3 found this helpful
Takes roughly around 30 minutes to beat. Oh and more importantly, A 1 million score IQ. I would like to see more levels in the future.2 found this helpful
The controls on this game are actually bad, namely you can't maintain momentum after a single jump, as you lose control in the air, that's fine. however what isn't fine is either having to chose between losing all your forwards momentum, or speeding up on your next bounce. This makes easy levels a pain, not because the level is difficult, but because the controls are bad. Also, if you're going to have jump be unbindable, then make it the Z key, as the spacebar is cumbersome. There is no actual collision between the player and the floor either, so you are always in a "falling state" much like a 10 year old would code a game on scratch. This leads to strange bugged jumps twice as high as a normal jump. I got to level 22 before it became too much for my patience. Either there's a flag that isn't switching, or it's impossible on a 144 hz monitor. And for what it is, the game's disk size is large.
