Nice short game. As far as I experienced bug free. Was fun to finish this. Good luck in your careers developers!

I've grown instinctively wary of games in the catalogue that are larger than a gigabyte, but the cohesion of the ideas and execution are quite thorough. Although I had prepared an Xbox controller for the occasions of its recommendation such as today, its right bumper has been in disrepair for a long time, which leaves me with no choice without rebinding. The responsiveness of attacks is somewhat delayed or perhaps strangely dependent on movement, but I'll deem it fair to ignore quirks like that without the proper implement. The number of available weapons has definitely enticed a return to find the rest, and the accompanying dialogue for them and the checkpoints was the perfect item for rounding out the game's overall pace. The game is a wave based beater with a surprising focus on Land and Heart moods instead of the outwardly facing Nerve game. When enemies are as scarcely diverse as is necessary, they become means to an end of discovering the different weapons and the tonal characterizations. The stats of the weapons themselves become rather arbitrary with this anti-Nerve lens, and their durability and accessibility damper this mechanic further into the ambience of the Heart moo…

"Excalibots" is a 3D rendered 2D top down-ish hack and slash console tier brawler from DigiPen. It's a short student project without a huge amount of appeal, and it didn't fare so well on Steam either. What do you do in the game? You run around as a low poly knight and clobber stuff. That's it really. Wake me up when there's some real gameplay. In terms of visuals, this features fairly low quality low poly 3D visuals which will deter a lot of gamers, understandably. Gaming is a visual medium, and while some developers struggle with creating high quality visuals, failing to do so is a disservice to gamers. It's very difficult to recommend bad looking games. You're forced to sign a highly questionable yet legally unenforceable End User License Agreement... for such a relatively low effort, low quality product, this comes across more as a delusion of grandeur than anything else. This agreement includes questionable requirements that may attempt to revoke consumer law protections that gamers expect to have, which is also highly problematic. Excalibots Positives: + Good idea + The videos + Nice graphics + Good sound and music + Simple and fun combat + Nicely designed little world + Boss battle + A lot of cool swords to choose from + The chicken"sword" + Its free Negatives: - Not keyboard/mouse friendly (controller optimized) - The dialogues are not the most entertaining part - Its very short (over in half an hour) Im usually not into this kind of games (top-down hack n slash) but this was an exception. It's really cool and fun to play, even though its not the best if you play with keyboard/mouse. The world is beautifully made and I enjoyed it a lot. Too bad its so short, it definitely needs a sequel! So dont just sit there, get your sword out (no not that "sword") and kill some goblins! Total Score: 7.5/10

Loved this game for what it was...really well designed and had me chuckling multiple times! Love the concept and am very impressed with execution of those ideas.
