Exit Kun is a niche meme game heavy on obscure Chinese internet references that alienates players unfamiliar with the source material, making it feel more like an inside joke than a standalone parody of Exit 8. While some appreciate the puzzle observation mechanics and quirky humor, most find the gameplay repetitive and shallow, with recycled assets and limited content that doesn't justify the experience for those seeking a genuine Exit 8 alternative.
Exit 8 is full of Chinese basketball memes. 💀2 found this helpful
Positive: 🧠 Pretty fun little observation puzzle game. The idea is simple: you walk through this weird corridor and you’re supposed to notice what changes or feels off. When it works, it actually creates some tense moments and it’s kinda satisfying figuring things out on your own. 🎮 There are two different endings and some hidden stuff to discover, so it’s not just a one-and-done experience if you want to mess around a bit. The weird humor and chaotic vibe also make it more entertaining than I expected. Negative: 🔁 The gameplay is very repetitive once you understand how it works. After a while it becomes pretty predictable and there’s not much depth beyond spotting differences. 🧩 It’s also a short experience overall, so don’t expect anything long or super varied. 🏆 Completionists & Achievement Hunters: 🎖️ Achievements are mostly easy and tied to reaching endings or doing simple actions. ⏱️ If you know what you’re doing, you can finish everything pretty quickly in one session. Overall: It’s a small, weird little game that’s actually kind of fun for what it is. Nothing crazy or deep, but if you like short experimental puzzle games, it does the job and has a few cool moments.1 found this helpful
👌
Exit Kun was not made for me. At all. Playing it is like sitting down at school and realizing you're in the wrong classroom and somehow also the wrong country, because apparently this is not so much an Exit 8 parody as it is a Chinese brainrot meme reference. Thank you to the reviewer who explained the kunkun meme. If you are only looking at Exit Kun as an Exit 8 clone or parody, it is probably not worth it. Either the budget went to everything BUT the main anomaly sections or the rest of it is copy-pasted from somewhere. I mean did the developers make that startup video? There are two things I like that do set it apart from Exit 8 in a good way. I am proud of myself for figuring out that one puzzle. And, it was worth seeing everything the game had. This is definitely something you can experience for under a dollar.
Trashy meme game.
