The Future Ends

I think it's pretty cool! I love the style, the puzzles are challenging, there are some really interesting gameplay moments! Kind of an underrated game. I understand there is some jank with the movement, wish there was native controller support. But honestly, the stylized visuals have a lot of charm and I'm really glad to see developers like this thinking outside the box with game design! Also, really cool that the game engine is based on Blender Game Engine, that is so cool to see in an ocean of indie games based on Unity, Unreal, etc.

This game is a lot better than I was expecting given the mixed reviews. At first, I thought the game had crashed because only a cmd window appeared when I first opened it, but it just takes a few more seconds to launch the game. It's not instantaneous. For me the graphics and the music are great at least for an indie game, the problems are in the game feel, the weapons need better sound effects, specially the shotgun, it needs to be more punchy and heavy, a lot of weapons like the pistol and the rifle deal way too little damage. You start the game with all weapons, but it never tells you that you have them. There's also has a bug in which you cannot switch guns while running, and also the character feels a bit too heavy when jumping. The dialogue has a few typos and the story is very simplistic and poorly delivered honestly. The game is short, but you get what you pay for. It feels more like a demo than a full game, but it's fine. I'd say if it had been given a little more polish the game would be great.

Whenever I start the game, it pops up a terminal, assuming it's normal, then 1 minute later and the game just stops. I tried verifying the files from the menu, but no luck. I tried googling to see what's wrong with the issue, but no results. The game looks interesting to say the least, my friend gifted me this, and I feel like I was the one who got robbed. ( again I'll start the game, and it'll stop when starting ) I refuse to spend any of my time on this. I do not recommend this.

I hope that graphic modifications will be added as soon as possible to make the game smoother for people, for example, modifying the shadows, quality and other things, because for me the game works at between 15,20 fps.

Knowing it was developed using the UPBGE engine makes it even more impressive. it’s a remarkable achievement.
