This game has a lot going for it while simultaneously leaving a lot to be desired. It scratches that itch in me to consider starting my own pet store venture capitalist dreams without the overhead costs, algae and smell of cedar woodchips. But my main complaints seem to be tied up in what could be referred to the developer(s) swimming halfway to an island, getting tired and swimming back to shore. Things feel a little undercooked in some areas, while overcomplicated in others, which is a strange dichotomy to have for a game. I recommend it if you like management games and animals (which I do), but consider the following if it matters to you at all. My main complaints are as follows. Using AI images for wall decals when plenty of free and creative common animal images exist on places like Pixabay, Pexels, Vecteezy, etc is a choice I guess. Kinda crazy we couldn't just search creative commons animal clipart images lol. The workers are broken some of the time. If you complete a task they're about to do right before they do it, their programming get's caught up and they stand there stuck. This would be an absolute no brainer favorite game of all time, if they just dropped the generative AI slop from the decor. The game is beautiful!!! We don’t need the wall art I promise, we are better off without the AI. Having said that, this is exactly what I want in a pet shop simulator. The build mechanics are a bit clunky, most furniture cannot be moved, only placed and deleted, but serviceable. The staff system works well, the breeding mechanics are fun, and the satisfaction from growing my store in this game is boundless. I also can appreciate the steady stream of updates along with frequent feedback from developers on bugs and issues. This game is smoothing its edges and really coming together beautifully, I only wish they would drop all of the gen AI and just let the human work shine.1 found this helpful
I really like this game. It´s so much fun to build and design your own store. The selection of animals is huge, which is great. Personally, i would like to have more items to sell. But maybe they add some in the future, and if not its also okay, All in all, I can recommend this game!
