Found the game fun so wanted to give some Positive love for a new release. If this is your genre of game, its probably a piece of cake. If not, there is a small challenge initially while you adapt your brain and hand-eye coordination to ignore the constantly changing orientation.
Always move up and down regardless of what you see.
For achievement seekers if you are into this kind of game or awesome at all genres it should be a quick. Otherwise just a little more effort while you train the muscle memory to respond. The achievement that would require the most effort (due to real time) is accumulating 10k and 50k parsec (distance traveled). Update: The Dev has eluded it could be a bug or just genius but as long as you keep the game open the parsec will not reset allowing you to accumulate both 10 and 50k parsec from multiple runs.

[th]Follow my curator for more great game recommendations![/th]

Nice little "runner" game. A little hard to explain but you are a block that can expand and contract horizontally with the left mouse button click and drag and jump between two levels vertically with the right mouse button, that's it. It can be a bit like rubbing you stomach and patting your head at times! You navigate an endless maze of varying wall widths collecting blocks to increase your score multiplier. This actually presents two strategies: ignore the blocks and just get as far as you can with a slowly increasing multiplier or go for all the blocks but risk collisions with the walls and with 3 strikes you're out. The game seems to have very little presence, the first time I tried I bombed out almost immediately and was still just over 200 in the world. It deserves a lot more attention, I know I'll be playing more of it.

It's not that this game is bad, it's just... a bit too repetitive. Once you spend 5 minutes, it feels like you see everything this game has to offer. It's nice and challenging, but way too repetitive.

To review or not to review? That is the question. Well, there is a silly Steam Sales Event ("Grand Prix 2019") underway (at the time of writing), which will reward me with many "Steam Tokens", once I've published my opinion, so of course I'm going to review this game! That said, I'm not really commenting about Expander per se. So ..... is this a review or is this not a review? That is NOW the question!

A simple game about grabbing stars while avoiding the walls, the only goal is to go for the highest score. Despite being barebones it provides a good challenge, and makes for a nice time killer if you're waiting 10 minutes for a download or similar.
