"F-Rank hero story" is one of hundreds of low effort retro-pixel RPG Maker asset/construction kit flips spamming the Steam catalog, made with the RPG Maker video game construction kit... in their own words, "Our easy to use tools are simple enough for a child." Like all RPG Maker "games", this is essentially a bunch of low quality/canned assets from RPG Maker coupled with a cringeworthy high school anime club fan fiction. As with all RPG Maker games, the poor quality engine displays badly in fullscreen and doesn't have full HD support or any graphics tweaking options, making this unacceptable for any dedicated modern PC gamer. The point can be made that the intention of RPG Maker is to make demos and small games to pass around friends, and shouldn't be used for "professional" game development. Like most RPG Maker shovelware and asset flips, the game features extremely low quality copy + pasted 2D retro pixel art, looks awful, and has even worse gameplay. So this game is bad. The review are probably all fake. I mean, they played less than 4 hours for the most part. Why is this game bad ? It's bugged. Like not a little buggy, but a lot. It's in EA and the last update was a little less than two years ago. There is a lot of frustrating thing. You got that hunger and thirsty bar that show number. It goes down 10 by 10 and the max is 100. When you go down to ten, there is no warning telling you to eat or drink. (Tbh I don't know the point of having two bar since both of them go down exactly at the same timing.) The worst is probably the fact that you have to sleep but there is nothing that tell you when you are sleepy. You can die of exhaustion just like that. I felt cheated by the review and since there weren't any bad review in english, I got tricked. Anyway, this game is dead, and bad. But I will still play it cause well I bought it... But dying for the tenth time of hunger when I had food, just because there isn't any warning telling you that you need to eat is pissing me off so hard. Damn me.
