About Fadry

Fadry is a story-focused game which explores a dark fantasy world through the eyes of several different characters. Length: about 13 hours. Manual, cheat codes, and a walkthrough can be found in your install folder.

Features:

  • Decisions and information gathering
This game is very demanding when it comes to the player's attention. Characters will lie and mislead you. History books are biased. You will need to seek out information on your own initiative and analyze it all carefully before you make your decisions, there will be quite a few of them. No in-game source is infallible. Don't expect complete answers to come to you on a silver platter.
  • A vast fantasy world
Fadry is set in a vast world built to create a sense of history and depth. Its many religions, philosophies, factions, scholars, leaders and great warriors have all been written to be dynamic and influence the culture around them, often clashing. As the game's protagonists move through the world, an observant player will not only learn about all of this, but also become a part of it all.

Warning:

This game has slow pacing. The story and world I created take a while to get anywhere. I know this. It's on purpose. It is also recommended that you interact with every NPC, and read every piece of in-game text and lore to fully understand the context for everything. Only play this game if this sounds like something that interests you.

Expansions Included:

"Martja the Unlucky": The bittersweet adventure of a young girl following the events of the main game. 1 hour long.

least femcelled steme game: Contains or mentions: body horror, violence, self-harm, suicide, murder, death, depression, prostitution, underage prostitution, dementia, sexual assault, drug/alcohol abuse, underage drug/alcohol abuse, blood, animal death, underage death, torture, body-deforming illness, incest, necrophilia, slavery, sexual slavery, kidnapping, miscarriage, human trafficking, corpses, corpse mutilation, cannibalism, and strong language. out of 2000 f2p releases, at least this is one of few slops resembling a bideo game and then the list broke - i could recommend it, but suspiciously steam refuses to start it officially "missing game executable Game.exe" - despite it existing (in wrong folder tho? copying it might work) [spoiler]Cheat Locations: Chapter 1 - tree stump, immediately when the game starts Chapter 2 - tree stump when first taking control, ceramic bowl in the hunting shop Chapter 3 - barrel at the top left of frostgate, next to the bakery Chapter 4 - a small tree right after you enter the swamp (with the party following you) --- Cheat Codes: 15 - Item that kills enemies 32 - takes you to the start of chapter 2 34 - takes you to the start of chapter 4 35 - …

I really enjoyed the well thought-out story in this game, and as a bonus you get to play different characters and hear their perspectives on events. I'd also say the description of this being a slow burn game is accurate - for me, it was more about running around talking to people and taking my time, rather than trying to move on the to next step quickly. Note that you are kinda thrown into the story without much explanation and then have to read dialogue or books to understand the context and background. I personally like this way of starting from zero knowledge, and it's been a while since I played a game like this. On a similar note, there is no tutorial for controls etc, but if you played any turn-based games before you should have no issues. Other than that, I enjoyed the music and the old-school graphics. Also, when I ran into a bug, it was kindly fixed after I posted about it. That was better responsiveness than I expected for a 4-year old free, single developer game and was much appreciated.

I love the dialogue, world building, and characters this game has to offer. I have had a lot of fun in this game. However I just can't recommend it. Making progress is so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ difficult. You never know where your supposed to be, what your supposed to do, and 90% of the time you don't even know what your current mission is. I have been stuck in derva so long I have memorized the dialogue of every single npc in the part of Derva I can access. I have spent hours going into every building, interacting with every single object (Even ♥♥♥♥ like plates), and interacting with every single npc over and over again, and haven't made a single bit of progress. I am not playing this game. I am fighting it tooth and nail for even the slightest amount of progress. Even when I do make progress, I quickly find myself stuck for another few hours. Happened in Rose, and it is now happening in Derva. I have currently played this game for about 6 hours in total. For probably around 4 if not more of those hours I have been stuck doing the same ♥♥♥♥ over and over trying to make even the slightest amount of progress. This game has so much good in it, and so much potential. However, I'll never get to s…

Well this was a fun ride, it took me a bit longer than expected to finish the game, I went in expecting alot of reading and it was indeed there. The story was very entertaining as I always love games where your choices matter, this game does that really ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ well it was a very relaxing game, with some hair pulling moments during combat that were still enjoyable when i figured out how to get through them. thankfully after 14 hours I have been left very satisfied, the ending answered most of the questions I had and left me generally happy, even If I have a problem with the main char of act 4
