The Curse is a free procedurally generated campaign for Fantasy General II.
Everyone can play the Curse by downloading and installing Fantasy General II: Prologue, completely for free. You don't need to buy and own Fantasy General II in order to play it. The Curse is a free campaign giving you a taste of what Fantasy General II has to offer.
Select one of three Heroes and embark on a quest that will unveil a dark secret.
Battle after battle, your Heroes and units will gain experience and gain upgrades or powerful new skills... provided they survive.
Dominate the battlefield by employing powerful artefacts, ancient weapons, magical medallions; turn the tides of war with devastating arcane spells.
Keldonia is a land of variety. Recruit (and fight against!) all kinds of mysterious and arcane creatures, from Werebears to Trolls.

a really solid introduction to the full game. For a free prologue, there’s a surprising amount of depth in the tactical battles, unit management, and hero progression. The turn-based combat feels strategic without being overwhelming, and I enjoyed experimenting with different units and positioning. It does its job perfectly — it gives you a real taste of the full experience while still being fun on its own.1 found this helpful
A mediocre strategy game, that is just way too hard for no reason. I tried going Imperial, but the units are useless, the spearmen get ♥♥♥♥♥♥ over by everything except scouts. Sure I could form a defensive line and crawl my way through the map for 30 turns, except the missions are timed + I value my own life too much.

Это тактическая пошаговая стратегия, где вам предстоит командовать армией людей против орд гоблинов и других фэнтезийных существ. Бои хорошо продуманы, важно учитывать местность, мораль, тип юнитов и их слабости. Графика, хоть и не самая современная, вполне приятна и хорошо передаёт атмосферу фэнтезийного мира. Prologue предлагает несколько миссий, достаточных, чтобы ознакомиться с механикой и особенностями игры. Интерфейс интуитивно понятен, а обучение неплохо объясняет основы. Однако, отсутствие возможности настраивать сложность может оказаться минусом для начинающих или тех, кто уже знаком с жанром. В целом, 'Fantasy General II: Prologue' - это достойная демоверсия, которая позволяет понять, стоит ли приобретать полную версию. Игра обладает неплохой реиграбельностью благодаря различным вариантам развития событий и юнитов.
