I am a fan of Remedy Entertainment since 2001, when they released Max Payne. I have played every game from this gifted studio since then, the storytelling and atmosphere is where they shine. I don't play multiplayer games, so this was a first game I skipped. When it was announced that the game was basically on life support, I managed to find friends (with a shared proclivity for single player games) to play this with. We all have played Control. I agree with the general consensus. It takes circa 5-6 hours of gameplay before you reach the point where there is nothing new to do. It has the quirkiness of original Control but it is not enough to keep playing. No bugs, fast loading, no issues. Anyway, I look forward to playing their next single-player game Control Resonant.

I absolutely love this game. Everything about it is fantastic, and I've become completely addicted to it. I haven't even played the *Control* series, yet I'm still having an amazing time. That said, the game definitely needs better optimization. My PC struggles to run it smoothly. There's also a bug where, if the server desyncs, the elevator gets stuck on Floor 0 and the doors won't open—especially on the Outbreak map. Even with those issues, I can confidently say this game is incredible. It's absolutely worth playing, there's plenty of content, and it doesn't get old. It's even more fun when you play with your friends. Overall, an excellent game. Highly recommended.

Firebreak is a three-player co-op shooter set in the unified Remedy-Connected universe, alongside Control and Alan Wake. Depending on where you are in the franchise, this will either be an accessible introduction to the future story narrative of Jesse Faden in Control, or a paraquel to the upcoming Control: Resonant universe expansion. Firebreak enlists you into a crisis-response strike team inside the ever-shifting corridors of the Oldest House - a mega structure headquarters of the Federal Bureau of Control. The Bureau is entering its 6th year of lock down from the outside world, due to a series of interdimensional containment breaches, and your job is to contain reality-bending anomalies before they spiral into catastrophe. Unlike other Remedy's traditionally story driven narrative-heavy games, Firebreak focuses on teamwork and momentous gameplay, as you repair infrastructure and neutralise supernatural hazards through increasingly dangerous objectives in frantic battles against overwhelming tides of supernatural chaos. Progression comes through three branching classes, a big variety of perks, and weapons. Unlocking new perks slots gradually expands the prospective variet…

Destroy Sticky notes Slow objective to do so, water feels ineffective, finally deplete the objective after fifteen minutes. Hope to GOD there's a different more entertaining objective afterwards w/how bad the markers feel to lead you everywhere. Destroy Sticky notes.

FBC: Firebreak has fantastic bones of a horde shooter set in the Control universe, but suffers from a lack of content. The gameplay is solid: The classes are fairly unique and interesting, the gunplay is good, the elemental interactions between various ammo types and weapons are interesting and fun to play with. The visuals are solid and match-up well with Control. The quirky humor works well with the setting and it doesn't take itself too seriously, which is for its own benefit. As other reviews mention, the disappointment comes directly from the sore lack of content. There's a lot to unlock and really great bones, but there just aren't enough unique missions or enough twists to make all of that content worth exploring for the average player. The initial pricing may have had a negative impact in the games development, although the recent price reduction and friend pass options make Firebreak much easier to recommend. It's just a shame that it wasn't done earlier to get more of a foothold in a competitive genre to continue developing missions. With all of that said, I would lightly recommend FBC: Firebreak to those invested in the Control universe or looking for a quirky horde…
