The Game

In Final Factory, create a space-faring factory as vast as the cosmos. Explore and expand across space on an infinitely generating map, filled with stars, planets, black holes, the ruins of an ancient civilization, and ancient artifacts that will help your factory.

Automate Everything

Set up automation to make all aspects of your stations run like clockwork. Design space stations and connect them through careful logistical planning. Use your infrastructure to advance through a sprawling tech tree. Automate the production of a massive fleet of ships that will grant you special abilities and help you defend your base against the local aliens.

Design Space Ships

Every station in Final Factory can move! Slap a rocket onto anything to make it go faster. Design huge battleships that can house their own fleets for battle. Send out exploration vessels to explore new parts of the map. Or design and program cargo haulers to carry items to different parts of your factory.

Build Mega Structures

Create mega structures like Dyson Spheres and Dark Star Gates to super charge your factory and delve deeper into the unexplored reaches of space. Build a mega-factory with massive scale across an infinite map.

Command Your Fleet

The local aliens aren't happy about your presence in the system. Command a great fleet to defend your factory and expand. Gain access to new abilities depending on your fleet composition and take on your enemies in bullet-hell style combat. Or play the game on pacifist mode for a relaxed experience!
All Music and Art is hand made, although AI was used to create voice overs and to help us indie devs write code faster.

A solid factory game with some nice unique aspects. Solid 30-40 hour duration if you finish it in one save. Much easier to get into than factorio.

I can't quite pin point it but something is off. I was somewhat forcing myself to play the last 6 hours, trying to get into it because it seems interesting on paper. But no... Every time I remember Final Factory (because it sits on my desktop), I ask myself if I want to play it. The answer is always no. Even if I'm bored and has nothing else to do.. I don't hate it, but regret buying it.

I have played this game now for 4 or 5 years. I have put it down and picked it up again several times through many major updates. It isn't some graphically impressive, quick reward, short attention span kind of game, but it will challenge you to do better each time you play it. The objective is straight forward enough, but it is very much the journey that will have you addicted. You'll get stuck at a certain point because you don't have enough of a certain resource, and you'll have to come up with a better system for producing it next time. You can truly customize the way you play and even try every way possible. If you like to use your brain, you'll love this hidden gem of a game.

I think I can make no greater compliment to Final Factory other than saying:
it's a gateway drug to factory games.
Sure, there are probably things to talk about... ...like FF supports a full playthrough until an ending(?), but needs more time in the oven to fix up things like automated spaceships (automation triggers are not nearly robust enough), progression curve (there's an enormous spike in logistic complexity), or the pipe graphics (a T joint works, but it looks like two unconnected pipes)... ...but this game got me into Mindustry, and now I'm producing Phase Fabric and assaulting bases with Tier 3 units.

In conclusion,
you might be surprised what Final Factory gives you, and if you're on the fence, you can always try the demo.
