First Samurai

This is a game that brings back childhood memories of playing it as a little boy on the Commodore Amiga 500. It's just a shame that the game doesn't have the same soundtrack as the original game. Also the boss fight, not the same as in the original game, but I still had a good time. It still wants other favorite Amiga games like -Turrican II: The Final Fight, Silkworm, Apidya and others that I used to love.

First Samurai is an ancient game from 1991. It's a whopping 33 years old at the time of this review. The game lacks support for any modern gaming display resolutions (or widescreen monitors), hasn't been modernised or updated to run smoothly on modern gaming PCs. Despite this lack of modernisation, it carries a pretty high price tag for such an ancient game. This seems to have been put on Steam as a nostalgia gouge, or just a cash grab to try profit from abandonware. First Samurai is just another rejected 2D platformer for the Atari ST home computer, intended to be played with an RS232 joystick. You may be wondering why a crap rejected 1990's home computer game belongs on Steam and the answer is, you're right, it doesn't. This is another abandonware cash grab by Piko Interactive, who swindle their hands onto old abandoned/broken/dead games then try to swindle Steam gamers into paying them for someone else's old abandoned game. Ethical? Nope. This was never a good platformer. It's a hack'n'slash centric platformer where you collect pickups and use a variety of ranged and melee attacks, but nobody bothered back on the Atari ST or Amiga, and nobody is bothering now, either.…

a really solid and awesome plataform game is kinda short but very enjoyable and have good replay value
