About Flower Design

Flower arrangement has a long history in many cultures. When I decided to simulate things using program codes, I found that flowers are the best topic. The combinations of colors and shapes are so peaceful, free, and beautiful. And unlike traditional games, I want to show you rich feeling with simple operations. For virtual plants the shapes and colors are freely adjustable, they are "living things" full generated and controlled by program codes.

Flowers don't say a word, and somehow that makes them seem even more accepting. Their greatest gift is that they never demand anything of you.

Flower Design is a quiet, unconventional experience that sits somewhere between a creative sandbox, an interactive art toy, and a meditative experiment in procedural aesthetics. Developed and published by PanGuoJun, the game deliberately avoids almost every convention associated with traditional game design, instead offering players a digital space in which to observe, manipulate, and arrange abstract floral forms without pressure, objectives, or failure states. It is not a game about winning, progression, or mastery, but about interaction, curiosity, and the simple pleasure of shaping something visually pleasing. At its core, Flower Design gives players a garden-like environment populated by algorithmically generated flowers that can be placed, recolored, resized, and rearranged freely. These flowers are not meant to replicate real-world botany with scientific accuracy, but rather to evoke the organic feel of plant life through procedural patterns and color variation. The act of “design” here is intentionally loose; there are no strict tools, grids, or composition rules guiding the player. Instead, the experience encourages experimentation, letting players discover combinations t…

What you think it is: Pick various flowers, leaves, stems and other elements to make different arrangements. What it actually is: Some weird, cryptic mechanic where you have to grind using the cheapest parts over and over to make arrangements. Sell them for seemingly random prices. Eventually, get a chance to buy and use the more advanced flowers, only to then start the process over again because you just spent all the points you earned. Just get the sequel instead which doesn't require doing all that.

Flower Design is flower sandbox game. There game has no tutorial whatsoever and it is so confusing. From what I can tell the only way to gather 'points' is to spam the free plant and sell it. Even if I make a pretty arrangement that costs 100 points and I spend 10 minutes changing colors and then sell it, I get the 1 point per flower. For this type of the game there isn't enough content, the graphics are too simple and there is just nothing to do, nothing do see, no help, no guides... Overall, a disappointing sandbox game.

Easy achievements but I think there could have been more added to this game. especially concerning the background and tasks to do within the game.
