Folk Emerging

I really enjoyed my playthrough. It has very out of the box and fun mechanics and is very different from a standard civ 4x game. I really liked how settling down is a slow process as you transition from moving around and foraging to the hybrid herding to settled farming. Late game can get a bit tedious if you have more than a few tribes, and the early events can make progress very luck based (you can get 5 food/a couple morale for a turn which is basically useless or you can get 5 stone/very powerful unique items). Overall it needs more polish but it is a unique game and is fun already, so I definitely recommend.

I only have around couple of hours in the game and I am absolutely loving it. It's like a blend of ancient era CIV and city management game, but without the massive micromanagement, and then occasional scripted or sometiems unscripted events. The game's graphics are simple yet so nice and cozy and the music is spot on for this type of game, tribal bu5 very relaxing. The game of course starts slow but the in-game tips/tutorial is very nice and does a good job to get you started. Then the game starts opening up when you meet other tribes and you can do diplomacy, trade, war and manage your tribe's citizens to a certain extent and internal politics. Lastly, I like that as your main tribe grows larger you can split it and you can always chose to settle in a place for a bit OR be a nomadic tribe OR have several mini tribes. Super nice and well thought out game all around, easy recommend for lovers of this type of games.

Way too overpriced for what it offers. Finished one playthrough, tried to maybe get into a new one but it's all the same stuff. Wait until it's under 10€ or so.

It's not very replayable, but overall it's pretty good.

Fresh take on turn based strategy. Glad I found it. Love the migrating aspect of the bands (cities in 4x games) and world setting (bronze age is very interesting topic to me). You cant expect civ level of complexity, but it sure is fun to roam the map and look for a place to eventually settle. With som skirmishes along the way and tinkering the food/happiness/military/items aspects of each band, it gave me enough agenda for each turn, but never overwhelmed me with tons of things to do like in bigger 4x games, where you later on need to manage miriads of things. - dont get me wrong, I love complex games, but this one is very dynamic/fast and I found I personally like it very much. My only cons was that sometimes, it seems too short to me - when I finaly reach interesting stuff like bronzeworking or urbanization, i usually already win, so no point in doing them. But recent (16.9.2026) update may have addressed this issue - haven't tried it out yet. My suggestions Maybe add some brutal event on turn 100/200 (or sometime in late-mid/late game), that will hinder empire in terms of population.
