I know and love the setting and never had problems with large batches of text in games, but this is just not fun. There are too many sentences that are just filler and don't make the scenes any more immersive, it's just a strain for the eyes. And they are also written in a way where it's not naturally flowing, pleasant to read text like in a book. On top of that, the sentences are always at the bottom of the screen, so 90% of the time you are not looking at the cool scenes, but just a narrow sliver of the screen below. There are some rare moments when there is player agency, but the interaction with the game during those times is exactly the same, so there is no break from the same tiring formula at all. The story and immersive pieces seem great, the medium chosen is just bad. I wish they would go with what they did for the Chains of Satinav and Memoria games.

Paths are somewhat limited and reply between the to available MC overlaps bur overall a good experience. The vampire dlc is just a pdf so I would recommend against that.

I am playing the game with Nadime (Female Mage) as the player character and hence till now, it felt like "The 13th Warrior" to me. Music is nice and the illustrations portray the dark fantasy setting perfectly. Looking forward for more such visual novels/games from the developer.

The story is interesting, but that's it. The game itself has zero presentation at all aside from a few effects. No character animations, no voice acting, nothing. You just click through the texts while listening to the background music. But what really spoiled the fun for me was the trial and error. You have to fight battles while managing your MP/stamina while making the "right" decisions to avoid getting hit too often, otherwise it's game over. The thing is, the autosaves are totally messed up, you can even load a savegame where you go straight to the game over screen. So my tip is that you save the game before each chapter. If you've been hit multiple times due to an arbitrary game decision and your HP is low, forget it and just load a previous saved game. At many points in the game, you will lose HP regardless of your decision, so if your HP drops below about 5, you have already lost. Plus, there are not the options a VN should have, like skipping dialogue or see a log of past dialogues. And lastly, I want to say I couldn't even beat the game. There is one point in the story where every decision you take gets you hurt. I chose to play Nedime (the mage) with much less health…

I would give it a moderate review if I could. It is a nice game. It didn't click 100% with me, and soon other games took my time but it was enjoyable for the time I spent on it.

English review below!
