It's a simple survival game with a non-violent feel to it. It feels like a simpler, cozy version of The Forest, without the monsters and horror aspect. I think $10 is a fair price for the game and it does scratch that survival itch whilst still remaining easy to pick up. It has certainly improved since launch and has had content added to it. It is single player so this is a game you're going to want to chill on by yourself and take your time without any kind of expectations.2 found this helpful
I wouldn't really recommend playing this game at the moment because the way you get basic items and resources are much more complicated and confusing than they should be. One of the examples is getting bark. I had no idea how to get it, and had to look it up. I also feel like you should be able to craft more things instead of searching around aimlessly.1 found this helpful
I like this game because it takes a more relaxed approach towards survival crafting gaming.1 found this helpful
A game made by vegan's for vegan's. If you eat any type of meat, you will lose health. That's not a joke, it's an actual game mechanic. You can only eat berries. There's no other type of food except meat and berries and the devs put in a LOT of the berry bushes so you don't kill the animals. I though maybe I could fish but nope, there's nothing in the water. For gameplay, you literally walk around petting different type of animals, mainly rabbits. That's the game. Don't get me wrong, I love animals, even in games I tend to not eat them unless I need to. But this is a bit much lol I bought this on sale for $12 and for such a lack of gameplay, that is way too expensive for what you get here. It should honestly be free. Not to mention the controls are SUPER wonky. They sometimes work, sometimes don't. You will constantly try to find the interaction key, which will pop in and out of existence. And the building... you place one material in at a time. Try building a fire that needs 20 rocks and 20 sticks. You place each material in one at a time, but then in the middle you lose the interaction key so now you have to try to find it. Yah, super frustrating. But don't worry, you'll …
Review edit: after many updates in the year since my first review the dev has added many of the features that most consider "basic gameplay essentials" such as a map from the start, tutorial popups and general quality of life additions the game does still feel empty with large areas of walking, but now you can at least tell where you are and where youve been, and there are clear signs of more places to come I am back to having very high hopes for this game and am looking forward to the final release ***pre edit review for posterity*** I had really high hopes for this game especially since the dev is active and pushing out updates regularly but a building update before basic gameplay fixes is actual insanity save your money or at least wait until dev theres a fandom page so you dont waste 10+ hours without finding anything.
I cant wait to see future updates because i think the game is great! Needs a lot of fixes with the building because the planks and logs get stuck on the holder plus planks get bugged and wont work with some items. Game hard crashed my computer out of nowhere too and i have to refresh my game every now and then also.
