About Galactineers
Galactineers is a genre-mix of open world sandbox game and realtime strategy game. You can use blocks and items to build your world in space, and also construct your own ships. Use your ships to raise an economy and build huge stations and bases, fight cooperative PVE missions, or challenge your friends in PVP arena battles.
Core feature of the game is the Ship Designer in the factory building:
Wether you need harvesters, cargo- and construction ships, observers, or even battle ships, the ship designer is the tool to create and customize your ships. You can choose from nearly 50 different block materials and hundreds of ship modules and stickers to customize your creation in look and functionality.
Higher level factories allow you to access more and higher level ship modules, but also allow you to build bigger ships. You can research, to unlock more materials, ship modules, or higher building levels.
Explore space to discover ressources, pirates nests, extra-terrestrial stations, PVP arenas, and PVE missions.
In PVP arenas, you can face off with your friends and see who built the best battle ships. You can bet for ship construction plans or ressources.
In PVE missions, you're challenged with a quest or objective, which you can try to accomplish alone, or cooperatively with up to 4 players. Win precious ressources, or unlock more ship modules for the ship designer.
Not only can you shape the world and ships to your imaginations, the game is also highly customizable!
You can create own texture packs, add recipes to the foundry to modify the economical processes, or create asteroids, stations, or buildings in the Object Editor.
Using the Object Editor to create a map and the simple PHP Programming API, you can easily script your own PVE missions and add them to the game or share them with your friends.
Share missions, objects, and ships directly via the Steam Workshop and be part of the creative Galactineers community.

9/2/2019 Looks like where the game is now is where it shall remain based off a discussion with LInsoDeTeh. He did fix one last bug I reported but development is considered finished. 2017 Review If you enjoy sand box games, creativity, or working mechanics to produce a result.. you will find many lost hours here. I won't lie, this game was a little confusing at first which left me not really wanting to play. I watched the video tutorials by the developer, checked out the wiki, and searched the web and steam forums but still found myself lacking in much information. The things I questioned, the developer happily not only answered but explained in details. I decided to compile a guide with information to help newcomers get started a lot quicker than me. As well as included details about the achievements. Once I got the hang of things I quickly became consumed by accumulating the whole world, building automated systems and producing as many resources and cash as I could to level my world. And mind you, the world feels endless so far. I really enjoy that you can basically collect almost everything you d…34 found this helpful
Updated: April 26, 2018 * Been over a year and no significant improvements noticed. * Abandoned?? "DEPOTS Updated: 6 Nov, 2017 (171 days ago)* Changed vote to NOT RECOMMENDED from NEUTRAL with Early Access caveats. Original Review: March 23rd, 2017 Bought a key in as part of an Indie bundle. Bottom Line: <NEUTRAL VOTE>. I all but rage quitted. :) So, why the upvote if I'm quitting after 4 hours? Because my difficulties with the game are more due to me, less about the products advertised functionality. If you like Early Access games and are community minded, go for it. This game has a lot to offer. If you're easily frustrated by having to figure things out, hunt for information or lack of controller support, I'd avoid this game until its updated further. In my 4 hours of play, over 6 game sessions... I barely made it out of the tutorial and have all but rage quit for the next 6mo to 1 yr. (Waiting for updates) My motivation to try the game at this time was to help a friend who wanted to knock out some of the coop achievements. I thought I'd jump in and lend a hand... No good deed goes unpunished. lol From the first min of gameplay, I found myself getting …9 found this helpful
when i first started the game i got an wonderful purple screen, but thats what you get on "EA" games. Now the game is a full release, so i retried it. If you want to play the game, expect a tresure hunt for even basic information, despite tooltips and tutorial, best part was when i could not even open the help function because the "letter" shown for opening it was of unknown orgin. (dont ask, might just been the resolution i played on.) but random key-pressing "unlocked" the mouse- total win. Game looks just like the screenshots on the store page, and not one bit better, still seems to have input lag and a general slow game speed that could be considerd abuse. Want to play with others? I AM the peak playercount of the last month... so good luck with that. I am sure its a fully working game and lovechild of, looking at the design and gameplay, properbly german hobby programmer with only time on the weekends, but i cant recommend this game.1 found this helpful

Nopers. It looks like RTS Robocraft, but there's just way too little to it, and very crash-prone and inordinantly hard to use.
Buggy, up to the point of unplayable on Windows 10. A pity since the game premise was not bad. Unfortunately the game got "out of early access" sticker slapped despite not being finished or even polished.
