Edit: The developer is continuing to work on Hakoniwa Sumo. He has added a "newcomer screen" where you can pick from new wrestlers, and he has also fixed the bugs in the game, so those two paragraphs which were my main issues with the game no longer apply. In my opinion this game is too good to be free, and people who like sports management sims really need to check this out. Also there is a review about a virus being in the game. I've enjoyed it, although it has some pretty serious flaws. Here, you run a stable of Sumo Wrestlers, signing guys for your stable and watching them fight matches over years and years. This is strictly a text-based management game, so you do not control anything in the matches themselves. There Is a lot of fun to be had here but I found it quite hard to navigate at times, and the english can be very weird but the passion Is there.

"箱庭小相撲" (Miniature Sumo) is a sports management game (yes, another glorified spreadsheet pretending to be a game) where you manage Sumo wrestlers in Japan. What do you do in the game? Look at spreadsheets and laugh at how poorly implemented the game is. For gameplay purposes, because the user interface for this game is mostly just 2D static text/images... it might as well be a web page. It's functionally no different from a browser game. And we all know, Steam isn't here to compete with Chrome and Firefox. If the game can be done in a web browser, it's just not rich or compelling enough to appeal to serious gamers on PC. The graphics here are particularly awful, so bad that it actually stands out as one of the worst looking games on Steam. Quite an accomplishment. It's just text with a couple of extremly badly done MS-paint Sumo guy pictures. It's a big contributor to the failure of the game to attract gamers despite having no up-front cost. Gaming is a primarily visual medium, and if developers want to succeed, they must understand that it's not an area for compromise. Но в целом, этот нюанс не портит впечатления от игры. Рекомендую всем, кто любит менеджеры и интересные симуляторы. Эта игра точно затянет вас на долгие часы!

I feel bad...the programmer obviously has a passion for Sumo and is very detailed orientated. However the English is not readable and the GUI is baffling for a text game.
