"ユニバース・リズムシューティング" or "Universe Rhythm Shooting" is a Japanese student project that once more tries to turn an arcade shooting game into Dance Dance Revolution. It's amazing how often it happens when a developer has no ideas whatsoever for making a game so they just try to shoehorn Dance Dance Revolution QTE/reflex stuff into a different game format that doesn't need it. It just makes for another crap game nobody wants to play. Don't believe me? I'm not making it up. Check the player counts below. What do you do in the game? Wave your arms around in VR to hit the things in time with the beat. Or don't. There's no English translation for the game, but that's okay. The language of bad games is universal. The graphics aren't great, low quality low poly spheres and things... very little in the way of graphics at all. That's understandably a turn off for a lot of gamers, and it's a big contributor to the failure of the game to attract gamers despite having no up-front cost. Gaming is a primarily visual medium, and if developers want to succeed, they must understand that it's not an area for compromise. You deserve better than compromises. It's VR exclusive, and that shows …
