Players are divided on this game dev tycoon clone. While some appreciate it as an accessible, relaxing experience with decent mechanics and good difficulty options, others criticize it for poor execution of its concept, bad graphics and audio, and lack of quality-of-life features. A major complaint is abandoned support and development, with console versions stuck on outdated patches, though some defenders note it offers enough content for casual enjoyment despite not being as complex as its competitors.
3/10 The game tries its best to imitate Game Dev Tycoon and it does it poorly. It has a few touches of its own but they are BAD. And not fun, not recommended. Also, the game sound effects are thorns in my ears too. ---{ Graphics }--- ☐ You forget what reality is ☐ Beautiful ☐ Good ☐ Decent ☑ Bad ☐ Don‘t look too long at it ☐ MS-DOS ---{ Gameplay }--- ☐ Very good ☐ Good ☐ It's just gameplay ☑ Mehh ☐ Watch paint dry instead ☐ Just don't ---{ Audio }--- ☐ Eargasm ☐ Very good ☐ Good ☐ Not too bad ☐ Bad ☑ I'm now deaf ---{ Audience }--- ☑ Kids ☑ Teens ☑ Adults ☐ Grandma ---{ PC Requirements }--- ☐ Check if you can run paint ☑ Potato ☐ Decent ☐ Fast ☐ Rich boi ☐ Ask NASA if they have a spare computer ---{ Game Size }--- ☐ Floppy Disk ☑ Old Fashioned ☐ Workable ☐ Big ☐ Will eat 15% of your 1TB hard drive ☐ You will want an entire hard drive to hold it ☐ You will need to invest in a black hole to hold all the data ---{ Difficulty }--- ☑ Just press 'W' ☐ Easy ☐ Easy to learn / Hard to master ☐ Significant brain usage ☐ Difficult ☐ Dark Souls ---{ Grind }--- ☑ Nothing to grind ☐ Only if u care about leaderboards/ranks ☐ Isn't necessary to progress ☐ Average grind level ☐ Too much g…3 found this helpful
Good idea but lacks a lot of quality of life and basic (base) features.1 found this helpful
Now this game was a hit! I really enjoyed this and it played better than I expected.
Seamlessly abandoned after false hope of a new "Phase" even purchased on console which is stuck on 1.5 where achievements are impossible to get due to the fact you are forced to retire too. Devs have moved onto another quick money maker. Shame because its actually a pretty decent game, i wouldn't pick it up full price knowing how the support has seemingly just stopped.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart to the Developer. He suddenly offered me a key for this game as a friend. When I was a bit younger and new to gaming, I tried to play GameDev Tycoon and Mad Games Tycoon and I was horrible at playing those. No matter what option I used - my games were always horribly rated. I gave up thinking that this is not my genre. But a couple years later and after playing lots and lots of variety of games -- the dev told me that I am gonna like it. He was right!! It's not a hardcore very complex "game builder" game. It doesn't provide too much options to feel overwhelmed and the language is easy to understand for a player like me who has no idea what coding is. But it still offers a lot of options to unlock and also offers difficulity settings. I tried in easy mode first and that was really easy to learn. Now I am playing on normal recommended mode and I am doing just fine. My virtual games are not failing horribly, not giving insulting comments, instead I am getting a balanced review where some games are doing really well, some are just mediocore.. For the first time I am getting the courage to try to play a game on hardcore mode, to be honest. Complet…
this is a nice and cosy game with fast gameplay but i have a small complaint, i feel like the waiting time for research and game development takes too long especially with AAA games in the end game. i would suggest making an option for fast developing/research for more money that would make the game better in the late game. other then that the game is realy fun with a nice concept, it manages to be a great combo of relaxation and fun and i think you should add more it took me 1.6 hours to finish get to the top 1 and get 18B and it is a bit disappointing that there aren't any more house upgrades
