About Gearbits: Gear Angels

Gearbits: Gear Angels is a 2D side-scrolling shoot 'em up.
You must defeat the invading alien fleet to save the planet! Your shield will protect you and your weapons can blow away entire squadrons of alien ships. The catch is, your energy depletes fast. You'll be in trouble if it runs out! The shield won't protect you and your attack power is reduced. But at maximum energy, you can fire powerful shots that pierce enemies and shrug off lethal hits with ease!

Recharge energy for fast paced gameplay!

You have to keep moving at all times! Evading the enemy is not enough! You also have to collect energy to counterattack!

Multiple playable characters!

You can choose from three different characters. Each one has unique parameters to shake up the gameplay.

Gearbits intergration!

After successfully clearing the game, you can transfer your save file, to unlock new characters in Gearbits.

As a complete amateur at Shumps, this was a breezy little game that can be beaten in about 15 minutes, and you can get every achievement in a little over an hour. Each of the three playable characters are different enough that you won't mind doing the same short campaign repeatedly, and each one unlocks a new playable character in the other Gearbits game (the one that looks like Armored Core).

It's a short and easy game with goofy dev graphics, but it's fun to play. If you've ever played any other flying shooting game, then you will breeze through this and I got all the achievements in under an hour of playing. There's three levels and three bosses. You get different weapons and can level up your gun, but the gun level falls so quickly you're better off not bothering with it. If you get one of the secondary weapons you can hammer on double damage for a few seconds and obliterate everything, so that's pretty much the way forward. I like the structure and the flying mechsuit gal concept, but it really needed to be longer and more substantial to be anything special.
