Not every game can be rated solely by screenshots. It's like a human's essence that can’t be measured by a staged photo. And thus Glittering Sword is not that kind of game that some may think judging by screenshots or trailer. On the first glance it looks like typical action-adventure, like many other classic titles from the 90's. Glittering Sword is full with the spiritual references to these classical gaming brands, and it’s shiny and balanced graphical setting helps the player to dive into the memorable adventure. Best way to describe this game by phrase: «fantasy adventure set in a cozy world with Sokoban-style puzzles». Here, each screen is the individual location with traps, enemies, portals and switches, and the player needs to learn the exact order of completing things the right way. The more you play Glittering Sword, the harder it gets with traps being more and more deadly, and the enemies become tougher. We hope that players who are addicted to adventure games will fall in love with this small but very entertaining game.

When I saw the preview of this game it was described as a fantasy style Sokoban style puzzle game. I don't think this a accurate description, the puzzles are very basic compared to a Sokoban game and the challenge is mostly a ton of traps pelting you as you try to navigate the level. I really think its more of an action game than a puzzle game. Not a bad game, but just not the puzzle game I was hoping for.10 found this helpful
A fun, challenging game full of pleasant visuals. This game rewards you for planning your moves ahead of time while also requiring quick thinking when executing it. There are three elements to the gameplay- puzzles, traps, and combat. The puzzle elements are fully realized and used in clever ways, though they take a back seat to the traps rather quickly. The traps are the main hazard, often constantly shooting at you or cutting off your path. It takes a bit of timing and a lot of trial and error to get past them. The combat is functional enough, but the boss fights are weak reskins of each other. The game has 5 chapters of increasingly difficult levels, and I had good fun with it. Definitely worth the price if it's your thing.3 found this helpful
