Gameplay
This is a small simple game. You build rooms, charge up your guild members and then deploy them to the provinces in an effort to improve security and lift calamities. Establish trade guilds to earn gold, make equipment to strengthen your guild members, and ultimately you have to be ready for the onslaught of the Necro Lord.
About
This is a game I’ve wanted to play, but since no one else made it, I had to. I’m the dev, GTGD, and I’m better known for my tutorial series GTGD S1 and GTGD S2, which are here on Steam. I take great care in my work and I’ve made sure that Guild Commander is a decent game.
Thank you for taking the time to look at Guild Commander

Loved the idea, and it looks pretty, but is extremely shallow unfortunately. Even having picked it up on a steep sale, this isn't worth more than free. I'd love to see the game expanded upon, but as a decade-old game it seems unlikely to ever happen.
repetitive horrible ui and not good choices on short cut placemennt
Tutorial is a video instead of slideshow with text explanations of highlighted UI elements. The video has no subtitles. If you're in a busy space, you can't learn how to play the game. I count this as not having a tutorial; if I wanted this I'd look the game up on youtube. The tutorial video also plays in a small box centered on screen with no option for full-screen; on Steam Deck the UI text in the video is unreadable, on my Desktop it's slightly better but I would still want to use the OS accessibility tools to zoom it.
The game has its shortcomings, but I love what is attempting, the start of the game is very difficult, because you will run out of money very quickly and it takes some time to understand how to min-max the guild, then it gets easier towards the end. I personally love what is going for.
You don't really have much control in the game and it overall just seems poorly designed. It is really weird to have the pause button be mixed in with all the other menu buttons.
Missing a key ingredient...fun.
