古剑奇谭(GuJian)

This game has really great music. I still listen from time to time. It's all on Youtube. The characters and story are well written, as far as I could understand it. Half the time I couldn't understand what they were saying, because the language level is pretty advanced. It's a shame that the developers have blocked a fan translation from becoming official. At least, that's what I read on the forums. the game was hard af in terms of gameplay. Even the developers seem to know, because you can get a couple of OP weapons at an early point in the story. it was still a struggle with those. There's a lot of potential in this series. A 4th title, called Swords of Legends, is in the works. They take their time to make something good.

This game has an amazing storyline and wonderful soundtrack. You can learn a great deal about ancient Chinese history, geography and traditional culture from it. The game is full of thoughtful details and ingenious design, so it never gets boring no matter how many times you replay it. Highly recommended to all fans of Xianxia-themed games.

You can set 1920x1080 and fullscreen=1 in config.ini C:\Users\randal\AppData\Local\Aurogon Games\GuJian\Config also turn off fog looks way cleaner and way better. Also turn off bloom depth of field and light shafts. I have vsync set to on and the game is very smooth and stable at 60fps. The most magnificent game i ever played in my entire life. Whoever translated this to english in 2024 you are a GOD. I really hope someone is working on a translation for gujian2! this makes western games like bioware games seem kind of embarrassing in comparison. This makes dragon age look like a game demo i still want to give it a negative review just because of the fact that its an offline game that requires an internet connection. Thats straight up terrifying and creepy. Its $2 offline game. It is absolutely 100% evil and a sin to treat human beings like this.
