Sword and Fairy surprised me in the best way possible. The first thing that stood out was how beautiful the game is. The environments, character designs, and cutscenes are all incredibly well done and give the world a magical, fantasy atmosphere that feels easy to get lost in. The story and characters kept me invested throughout the entire experience. There are plenty of emotional moments, but also a lot of charm and humor. Some of the English translations can be a little awkward at times, but honestly, that ended up being part of the fun. There were several moments that made me laugh simply because of how certain lines were translated. The combat is enjoyable and strikes a nice balance between being accessible and engaging. It never felt like it got in the way of the story, which is important in a game so focused on its characters and world. I also really appreciated the side activities and mini-games. They help break up the adventure and give you more reasons to spend time in the world beyond simply progressing through the main story. One of the biggest highlights for me was the puzzles. Great game, must play with DLC.
I kind of love this game. So charming despite some clunky dialogue. No, BECAUSE of it. Everything just melds together to make the game so easy to play and enjoy. My main criticism would be the fact that the railroading is a bit too much, with very little agency over your path through the story or how you grow your character.

a soothing game with a beautiful and dreamy scenery. The combat style is nice even though it takes some time to get used to it. the characters are amazing and well written along with the story.
