Gump

Unplayable, do not buy.

"Gump" is a garbage Flash tier 2D arcade shooter that was a fully paid product but is now, well, not even free, read on to find out what's going on here. But first of course it has to be highlighted just how weak a 2D shooter this is... I mean, at least it's not pixelcrap "art", but it's not much better, and the gameplay is awful. It's an amateurish mess. The game features really lacklustre 2D visuals (does the developer not know 3D graphics became mainstream in the mid-1990s?). Gamers don't spend thousands of dollars on gaming rigs to pretend they're mobile phones or Commodore 64s. It's free... now, but it wasn't before. The developer was charging $0.99 USD for this. Price barriers, especially on low quality products, can be a direct cause of failure. It's a nice gesture for the game to be given away for free, but it also tells us that the game wasn't good enough to succeed as a paid product. This still isn't truly free as the developer has their hand out for $17 USD (WTF) for a "commercial license". WTF does that even mean? Jumps you right in without instruction. Text on menu is blurry, buttons are off at points. Definitely takes a little bit to understand the concept of the game and to get into the actual gameplay. Enjoyed the music and art style however, with more polish and refining, could be a great game!

Игра 'Gump' - это неожиданно захватывающий платформер с простым, но очаровательным визуальным стилем. Главный герой, маленький и неуклюжий Гамп ведет нас через разнообразные уровни, наполненные препятствиями и головоломками. Механика прыжков, особенно двойной прыжок, требует точности, но быстро становится интуитивно понятной. Секреты и спрятанные предметы побуждают к повторному прохождению, чтобы исследовать каждый уголок карты. Что мне особенно понравилось, так это приятный юмор, пронизывающий весь геймплей. Диалоги забавные, а анимация Гампа заставляет улыбаться каждый раз, когда он спотыкается или неуклюже борется с гравитацией. Уровень сложности возрастает постепенно, предлагая честный вызов, не переходя в невыносимую "хардкорность". Боссы интересные и требуют использования изученных навыков. Небольшие минусы - иногда встречаются небольшие баги с коллизией. В целом, 'Gump' - отличная небольшая игра, которая дарит часы веселого и забавного времяпровождения. Рекомендую всем любителям платформеров!

I really liked this game! I like the concept, and the art style. It really fun! With really fun character. I do recommend this game, even though it bit confusing at first, I enjoyed it. The music is calm, and good too.
