Hacktag is a 2-player co-op stealth-game with an asymmetric gameplay.
Play as the stealth Agent in the field or as the Hacker, virtually infiltrating and cooperating to fulfill industrial espionage missions to take down corporations.
In 2029, in a parallel world inhabited by anthropomorphic animals, you are a mercenary who secretly accomplishes missions for corporations struggling for leadership. To succeed you will have to team-up with a partner and infiltrate corporations simultaneously in two ways:
As the stealth Agent, moving through corporate buildings with an isometric 3D view and fast, arcade-style infiltration gameplay.
Or as the Hacker virtually infiltrating the same level with a different view—see the world through holographic blueprint vision and move through a virtual network to interact with the cameras, doors, phones or even coffee machines…
The whole Hacktag experience is designed to make the players feel like they are the heroes in a spy or heist movie.

Like many others said - the main gameplay loop is just one thing - and gets repetitive fast. I wish they just focused more on a small story - and keeping the game short so the gameplay loop doesn't get overplayed. No need to have all these 'live service' type frills they built into this game like skin unlocks and lootboxes2 found this helpful
Online play didn't work. We were on the same wifi network and still couldn't get online play to work. Steam refused a refund, too. Bad customer support. Judging from the single-player tutorial, not great gameplay, either.1 found this helpful
Fun co-op game. If you have a reliable partner to play this with, you will have a ton of fun. Game looks convincing with a cartoony / cell shaded estetic. Runs easy on weaker machines, all in all, recommended.1 found this helpful
A friend and I decided to try out the game, after playing a game of somewhat similar make: Clandestine. Now to not waste time, would I recommend it? No. The movement felt off, the hacker was sometimes locked into moving forwards, unable to reverse (but at times fully able to turn 180). The protected door was sometimes a click, sometimes a hold which made it easy to "fail a hack" if you just tapped it. Moving while hacking; somewhat possible, but more often than not resulted in a failed hack. Equipping the smoke bomb as a hacker and getting caught fully bugged out the game, leaving you unable to move, staying permanently stuck wherever you were at the point of impact. The level design, while unique and at times clever, felt astronomically cramped with too many hazards. The amount of admins/antivirus patrolling the area could very quickly become obnoxious, especially in highly tense moments; such as your partner getting captured. At times there were doors placed in front of the jail cell that could not be remotely opened to slam the guards by the hacker, even if they showed a green symbol meaning they were interact-able. Hackerman... He's the most powerful hacker of all time... AMAZING 2-player co-op game for anyone who loves stealth and/or hacking games!
Mac cant play with windows!!!! Does not connect to any other sessions what is this!!! Problems with game anything connecting wise not ideal for playing with friends!!
