Too many of basically the same level over and over again, introducing nothing new. That would be less bad if the interface had a clear way to remove a misplaced piece other than starting the level again (when you can't just build over it). That would be less bad if the dialogue didn't have a painfully sluggish animation between speakers that you can't skip, that's just UI-juice but at about a quarter of the speed it should be, maybe even slower. That would be less bad if there wasn't a significant load time between levels even though the levels are using all the same graphics and are basically a 12x12 or so grid, so should require no load time at all. And the load time also features slow animations into and out of the loading screen. That would be less bad if it wasn't running my GPU at full tilt and still responding sluggishly, despite having very simplistic graphics. But unfortunately all of those things are the case, so I took one look at level 8 and went "*another* level the same as the previous 5? I'm out."5 found this helpful

Hamster on Rails is a charming, thoughtfully designed puzzle experience developed and published by Virtual Arts Studio that blends spatial reasoning, light construction mechanics, and a warm, whimsical presentation. At first glance, the game’s cute aesthetic and hamster protagonist suggest a gentle, almost toy-like experience, but beneath that surface lies a surprisingly deliberate and engaging series of logic challenges built around careful planning and experimentation. It is a game that values patience and creativity, encouraging players to slow down, observe, and engineer solutions rather than rush toward completion. The central premise revolves around building functional railroads within compact, diorama-style levels. Each stage presents a small environment where players must place a limited number of track pieces to guide a mine cart safely from its starting point to its destination. Along the way, objectives often include collecting resources, unlocking doors, or helping fellow hamsters who are stranded or in need of assistance. Because track pieces are finite, every placement matters, turning each puzzle into an exercise in efficiency and foresight rather than brute force t…2 found this helpful

The closest we've gotten to a Hamtaro release on PC, the skins are cute, the puzzles are fun, a very charming little puzzle game
