Teeny Tiny Trains

No game that I own a legitimate license for should ever nag me to buy the game in order to play. I checked. It wasn't the DLC. From the end of Chapter 1 forwards the game nags me, despite owning it legitimately. I paid. One of the main perks of paying for something is getting to play it, let alone not getting nag screens any more. Small update: I would be willing to remove or reverse my review if this issue is fixed and/or resolved. I actually rather like this game and find it charming, to be honest - well, the first chapter of it was, anyway.

starts giving you popups to buy the game or watch an ad every time you finish a level after chapter one (neither option is even clickable, nor is the popup closeable, you have to back out to the main menu and select the next level) obvious rush job of a mobile port doing a disservice to an otherwise decent casual puzzler upon further investigation, there is an option in the settings to unlock all levels that solves the problem, but still... shouldn't be necessary

Cute little game that seems really well-polished technically speaking, but more fore train lovers than puzzle lovers. Chapters start with very easy tutorial levels introducing new mechanics, then suddenly it ramps up to huge levels that are more like a sandbox level with an optimization goal that clearly haven't been properly tested. It's not rare that you'll beat the par by a large margin, and sometimes the solutions feel too convoluted, like the "puzzle" has been created solely by building a complex net of railroads that is not intuitive at all and transforming the results in goals that just feel too weird. Even when you work hard and figure out a solution, it never felt like an eureka moment for me, just that I was patient enough to brute-force it, and that doesn't scratch my puzzle-solving itch at all. This game gives you (I think) about 200+ levels that lack substance, testing and elegance instead of providing fewer levels that actually feel like a puzzle. I'm guessing that if you like open levels with a huge amount of solutions, more like sandbox levels, and if you enjoy trains, then I guess you could enjoy it.

[h2]A surprisingly content-rich train-themed color matching puzzle game[/h2] [h3]When I got the game, I thought it would be a short puzzle game of 3-5 hours, but turns out it has about 300 levels (plus over a hundred with DLC), some very tough, and it took me already a few weeks doing a few levels every day... and I still have about a dozen levels left.[/h3] Well, it is a train-themed color matching puzzle game that has 8 chapters (each for one room, from kids room to outdoor treehouse) and introduces a new mechanic in every chapter... The first chapter is just taking the trains to their destinations in the right color and order. Then you have gates that open/close when a train goes over the lock, coloring stations that repaints the trains that go through them, splitter that splits the trains, waiting stations that add one wagon to the trains passing through, accelerator and decelerator to speed up or slow down the trains moving through, tunnels, traffic lights and so on. When you consider all the different mechanics and the small grid in which you have to piece together the puzzle (often with trees/houses as obstructions), the possibilities are limitless. It's an alright little puzzler, though has a very large feeling of being ported from mobile.
