1,,05 gb for a demo, which is around of 15 minutes long... I can't really recommend it therefore. The artwork is great, without a doubt. But that's all positive I can say unfortunately, since like I've said before: It's just a demo and you won't even find out much of the story, yet. Daughter on a revenge trip and fighting onis. Period. Please, don't mark demos as free-games and don't waste our time with the hope to find a decent, free game on Steam.

The visual style is beautiful and atmospheric, with a very distinct ink-inspired aesthetic that fits the setting perfectly. It was the reason why I installed the game to begin with. The storytelling is simple but effective and kept me engaged throughout the short journey. The combat was a nice touch that made the game feel more challenging than many other side-scrolling games. Timing and reactions mattered, which made the duels feel tense rather than just breezing through enemies. I'm impressed that this was a student project in which the game was created within 9 months as part of their coursework! It's noteworthy that the team built the game in C++ with their own engine instead of using an existing one. I did run into some technical issues where the game occasionally crashed or turned a bit into a slideshow. That said, I was streaming while playing on a toaster of a laptop, so my hardware may have been the main culprit. Overall a memorable experience and definitely worth checking out, especially considering it's FREE.

Super solid 2D side scroller hack and slash. There's a decent amount of depth to this short game.
