About Heroes of the Seven Seas VR
This is about a pirate’s adventure in the 16th century. Player will be the pirate to start a stimulating journey with friends to seek after the legendary Seven Sea Artifact on the mysterious sea.
This is FPS RPG game with a combination of land and naval battles.
Through upgrading the ship components, including the ship hull, sail and broadside guns, players can empower their abilities to fight during combats and to defend any attack from the Navy, other pirates or even sea monsters. Players can trade items in the ports or land on any island to explore and gain mystical treasures.
This is a real adventure , a marvel experience in the vast sea and unknown sphere of VR.
Innovative Fighting Mode:
Heroes of the Seven Seas is the first game combining the features of naval battles and FPS shooting together.
Players can control the warships’ movement while commending attacks against the enemies by using special weapons at the bow, left and right side of the ship and the stern in different angles. When players are boarding with the enemy ships, they can also open fire with the scimitar gun to the enemies who are rushing onto the deck.
Taking the advantage of VR devices, Players are enabled to experience the furious sailing world personally on the scene.
Lustrous and Stunning Scene Graphic and Design:
Players are in the well-designed pirate world to enjoy quite a number of interesting and fascinating scenes.
Rich Choices of Warship Upgrade and Characters:
Warship concepts are based on the real ships back in the Sixteenth Century and equipped with a huge upgrade system.

[h1] Experienced on the Oculus Rift with Touch Controllers [/h1] Arrghhh .. ye matey thar be ya booty. So in this game you get to cosplay a pirate in VR full of wenches and first mates. There's open sea battles, man to man gun combat, drinking establishments, rewards offered, and mystical sea creatures. That all sounds fun and it can be ... Unfortunately, the execution is bare bones. There's hardly any challenge in the naval battles. The gun fights are laughably bad, especially on the Oculus as I'll explain in a bit. The quests are basic. Go here. Now shoot everything. The voice acting is bad. There's literally arrows pointing you towards the destination at all times. The motion controllers are really just used as a gamepad, except for gun fights. And when you're on land, locomotion is by teleportation. This game was made for the HTC vive wands and although Touch controllers do work, there's several problems which will keep the game from being as fun as it should be. First of all, and worst of all, you have to click down on your joystick forward, backwards, sideways to get your ship to move. Your fingers will hurt after 10-20 minutes of doing this. This is a small Chinese made VR Only pirate game where you run a pirate ship from VR perspective. There's only about 30 minutes of gameplay despite the $7 USD price tag, and no replayability. This seems to have been made a VR exclusive to prevent any comparison with non-VR 3D games, a comparison that this game would fail very badly at. Developers must learn that while VR is great, if the only thing that makes your game great is the VR, then your game isn't great at all.1 found this helpful
System being used: VIVE Pro, Pro controllers and 2.0 sensors, i9-7900X, 1080 and 32 GB RAM Uhh.. this game literally takes about 30 minutes to get through if you've played any kind of nautical simulator and know how to steer to avoid shots from other ships. Is it worth $7.00? I'm really not sure. Pros: The game is fun You can upgrade your weapons, sort of. You get to shoot pirates as well as sail Cons: The game is disjointed at best. Nothing is really explained besides "follow the arrow" When you get to ports you can upgrade your ship for apparently no cost at all. If you miss some of the upgrades at one port, they will still be available at the next port. THere are only 3 opportunities to upgrade them though counting the one at the dock where you start. There are voiced instructions that have no bearing on the game like the bartender telling you to get some rum to fix your gums. But, you can't. So... yeah... Overall the game was fun, but had I known it was only a 30 minute game I would have taken more time to do the fights and, well.. there isn't much more to it. I don't recommend this game simply because of the time it took to complete it and the fact that it's so…1 found this helpful
Hmmmph. I wanted to like it but the moment to moment gameplay is just too jarring to endure. I can handle Jank. Some of my most beloved games are janky AF. But in this, all the mechanics seem half baked, clashing with each other and overall not very "enjoyable". On top of the control issue of it having no proper support for any other than original vive, makes the controls perform erratic actions one Pico 4 as the input is off and trigger registration is not there. Also now after testing out the game and checking the developer, I see its a Chinese company. This makes a lot of sense. Some of the stylistic choices and the vibe felt very much like a browser or a mobile game. Too bad, it seemed interesting.
Poor graphics, and I can't get index controllers working.
This is the first review I've ever made for a steam game. This game is incredible. If you have VR, and love Pirates half as much as I do, you're going to love immersing yourself in this cartoony fun pirate world with a bit of mature themes thrown in just to make it more badass.
